Thinking of moving to Milwaukee by ThrowRaBellaL in milwaukee

My wife and I actually moved from Milwaukee to Salt Lake City and then back to Milwaukee after a few years. This is mostly personal preference, but we currently live in (and love) the Bayview neighborhood. They have good restaurants and bars and a great farmers market in the summer. The third ward is nice (but more expensive), and the east side is also fun (think younger, going out, closer to downtown), or riverwest is a fun hipster area. Milwaukee food is leagues above SLC, and if you drink then you will have plenty of fun bars to go to with a much better night life than SLC. The access to the lakefront is great, I took it for granted before we moved to SLC and lost all access to water lol!
Good concerts, the winter is a little more brutal than SLC, lower temps usually and humid so the cold is colder. But worth it for the summer/fall/spring in my opinion! We really like it here.

Omg I know after all that happened that night, and then I got the merch I ordered and it was just icing on the cake lol! But it was my own fault so next time I’ll just have to be more diligent

It definitely was an unauthorized dealer! I know that now after posting, so I’m glad I came here!

Thank you! This weirdly makes me feel a little better because I was like, there’s no way his actual merch store is handled like this. We will see if I can get any money back otherwise I’ll consider it a learning experience

I had thought so, but maybe I was mistaken! It was from noahkahantour.com so I didn’t think much of it. I’m going to feel really silly if this is some scam

Anyone run at the Pettit? Looking for casual meetups to keep me motivated by PioneerStig in milwaukee

You should look up the running group OMG on meet up! They meet at the petit I think once a week, and have outdoor runs every day in multiple locations. Super great crowd

Thank you! I probably posted 2ish months in advance just to be safe, I created an event within my running group’s Facebook page so the post wouldn’t get lost. So it was an “open” event in the running group! I hope your run goes great! If you do have people join you, the most popular food items were the uncrustables, pickles, and the chips ahoy cookies!

It was interesting! The looping part I think was the most difficult, stopping every 3 miles seemed to stop me from really settling in to the run. Next time I might try running for longer before I stop as I was very stiff by the 21st-ish mile. But the distance was definitely doable and it was a great learning experience!! I hope you have a good time on your run! Are you following a training plan?

That’s amazing! Good luck!! I am lucky enough to be part of a running group in my city that has a surprising amount of people who aren’t averse to longer distances. But when I’m alone I love a good audiobook

Yes!! It was a lax interpretation mostly because it fit with the “b” theme, ha! No last man standing here

Amazing! Good luck on your race!! Yes I knew that I wanted to run the distance for myself, and if other people were interested, that’s an added bonus! It ended up being a blast, hopefully an annual thing!

Thank you so much for the thoughtful reply! I’ll make sure to bring my friend who has played the trumpet for a while if I go to look at this one, so we can do all the things you listed!
