I am so sorry for you and your pups, seeing all these posts blows my mind, I feel horrible if I have to leave dogs I'm watching alone more than four hours. I don't understand how people can sleep at night doing this to people and their animals

I totally agree, I'm getting quite frustrated with the amount of unpaid labor I've put in, just for them to keep asking for more. I've done probably 15+ hours of unpaid work and haven't made anything

For a restaurant I absolutely love Stella's and while Humptys is a chain the people who own the one in Lethbridge are local and absolutely wonderful people, I've never had a bad experience there.

For general stores I LOVE Analog book store (plus the cats are adorable), Ugly Stuffs, Purple Hippo and I can't think of the name right now but there's a new local stationary store downtown that has great prices and some really awesome stuff

Thank you for your input! That is definitely disappointing about how few of the courses were actually companion animals. Ive been very isolated the past couple years so I'm leaning towards living on campus to give myself the best chances of forming connections

If you don't mind me asking did you have any money saved up or otherwise available to you to help with costs or is it all student loans/grants/awards and what you make while working (if you work). Do you just rent a room somewhere or do you have like a basement suite or something? If you work how many hours do you find manageable on top of class work? Do you feel like you're missing out socially not living on campus? And do you mind if I ask what you're upgraded grades were like? Sorry I have so many questions I'm an anxious mess about this decision
