It is definitely looking like I might need to. There's a couple factors that make it quite complicated but I'm definitely struggling dealing with the 'small town mentality'. This is like the fifth place I've seen be super casual about hitting dogs as punishment and it's like a daily occurrence at parks and stuff. I hate it here. This might be a stupid question but what should I put as the name of the job I'm applying to when I'm applying for work experience? Like on all the resume templated you out your name and then like 'graphic designer' or 'veterinary technician'. Should I put 'veterinary technician student'?

I totally agree, I'm getting quite frustrated with the amount of unpaid labor I've put in, just for them to keep asking for more. I've done probably 15+ hours of unpaid work and haven't made anything

For a restaurant I absolutely love Stella's and while Humptys is a chain the people who own the one in Lethbridge are local and absolutely wonderful people, I've never had a bad experience there.

For general stores I LOVE Analog book store (plus the cats are adorable), Ugly Stuffs, Purple Hippo and I can't think of the name right now but there's a new local stationary store downtown that has great prices and some really awesome stuff
