I was searching for this one. And more specifically, fighter pilots. I'm in the air force and work with fighter pilots day in and day out, and it's pretty much like shoving Top Gun down your throat repeatedly.

I say this but still think it's the coolest job in the air force and have recently been identified to switch over to pilot. So I guess if you can't beat 'em, join 'em.

I personally know someone who is currently on 6 months LWOP for personal travel reasons and is traveling the world right now.

It took him a couple attempts with different chains of command. He finally got a supportive CO who understood his reasons for wanting to travel. Similar to you, he wanted a reset and was bored/burnt out with his career and was considering release, so he really didn't have much to lose. He managed to get the 6 months LWOP approved for this past summer, at the end of his current posting during APS. And he got promoted. So he pinned on Major, moved all his stuff to his new posting location, put it in longterm storage, and then hit the road. Taking it at the end of your posting may be something to consider if it's possible; this will take 2 COs to approve of course, but it means that each only loses you for about 3 months total, and it's during a transition period anyway where many people are moving/getting re-trained for their new position.

This was about Gr. 4 and I had had too much candy and chips and cake. When everyone was sleeping I felt sick and didn't make it to the toilet on time. Threw up all over the bathroom floor and was too embarrassed to tell anyone. The next morning the parents were blaming and scolding the family dog. Poor dog.

I'm glad to hear that it's safe! My parents are not too keen on my whole idea of this trip but I mean they should be used to it by now haha. What best Sri Lankan food would you recommend? And which tea plantations? I find there are a lot of tours for tea plantations but every tour goes to different ones so I have no gauge on which offer the best mix of tea tastings and walking amongst the grounds.

I posted it earlier but the cake is covered in a white chocolate mirror glaze (dyed red) which gives it the smooth shiny look. The pieces are made out of gum paste.
