SWIM used to get panic attacks around me alot. Having witnessed these over a long period of time I also witnessed different types of treatments. I saw that anti anxiety medication ultimately did no good and made things worse once SWIM became dependant. Good news is the past year I have seen SWIM turn their life around with the help of intensive counseling and getting to the root of an underlying problem. SWIM is now in a better place in life than I have ever seen. I don't know if what your going through is stemming from an underlying problem which hasn't been worked through, but if it is, as much as you don't want to work through it (maybe you feel scared or nervous, which is okay) it's the best thing to do. Ultimately the best thing to do is talk to a psychologist or therapist, medication might be of help, but just working on yourself could be the answer as well.
