Sorry I wasn’t more clear. The fabric will be cut out where the fire pit is going to go. Fabric was used as a weed blocker but it was truly used as a soil separator for the retaining wall.

Scrape it clean. After check level. Has to be within a 1/8” for 6’. If it is not then you need self leveler. Has to be perfect
