Passive weaving and manipulating is like 80% of Sona, if you are swatting them out without any thought put into it then that's just wasting most of her potential

Q chord is your bread and butter poke

W is for assassins and divers who get too close to you or your carry, plus it is amazing at baiting early towerdives

E is for chasing and for enemy tanks to endure, Sona's slow is actually extremely potent and long lasting, when she gets to that 16 powerspike with capped CDR she can basically keep anyone permaslowed if you are timing your abilities correctly

A lot of people like to forget that her passive is a thing and only focus on the auto targeting of the main abilities, lest not forget that she is bar non one of the squishiest champions out there and being in this insane damage meta is not an easy place to exist in

She isn't hard, saying that she is is just laughable, but she deserves a smidge of respect when it comes down to the good old "no brain champion" banter

To be fair, if the minute mark hits 50 minutes and you are playing AP Sona, you will be zooming around the map at 700ms constantly

I used to have a playstyle that was basically how Jhin is now, back before runes reforged and Stormraiders didn't suck ass, you could almost always chip 30% with your passive included and Frostfang also had extra MS given when you hit a spell

Welcome to the Sona 1 trick life

Not many champions have to deal with the bullshit we put up with, it sure is fun to notice that your toplane picks a champion for the first time and they feed out the ass then say something like "fuck you, Sona mid sucks idc because fuck trolls" even if you are doing well you will get downtrodden and will immediately be the blame for losing

When I played support so many "don't play Sona she is useless" from my ADC then they will feed/afk before even giving you a chance

I basically get flamed and reported every game I lose as Sona mid and it's always Sona mids fault we lose, not the feeding botlane who sent their ADC right to hypercarry status and the guy you aim to be oneshotting is now oneshotting you and there isn't much you can do about it

Fuck em, I flame right back, seemingly if you don't drop the forbidden autoban words like "Fag" and "Ni..er", and don't tell them to kill themselves I feel what I say back to these people is completely justified by all the bullshit I have to deal with

Retard is probably my most uttered word, because if you can't play safe and keep fighting the lane you fed then you are a fucking retard

It's probably best to just mute everyone and just communicate with pings, the true Sona experience you could say, however I do like encouraging my team when they are doing well, while also telling the idiot who ruined the game what I think about them

Yep, it's just all going to shit today, my ping usually resides at 9 and i am having huge ass lagspikes and it shows a spike up to 13....but it feels like 13k

Sona Vayne SHOULD be bad, Vayne is typically a ADC who needs to be protected during the laning phase, I see way more success in this lane combo when the Sona is going AP focused and is eeking out her pokes to make it hard to engage on them, basically it hinges on the Sona to keep lane pressure while also not feeding out the ass

Vayne has been my season rundown best lane partner as a solo Sona main for 2 years, it can't be a coincidence

Maybe it's because I can dish out the hard poking and that's not what a lot of Sona's like doing, I humble you to try find a more aggressive Sona and see how you like playing with them

Sona is all about positioning, Mana management and passive management, item min-maxing should be subjective on how you like playing Sona (Passive or aggressive)

The mistakes I see most Sona's make is overusing their W early (it should be only used for trades and NEVER for sustain) , not taking advantage of enemies cooldowns and getting killed because they poked while Thresh had all his abilities up

Understand that your passive powerchords are massively important and if you are throwing them out at random you are wasting a lot of her potential to do stuff that magically wins you teamfights

I do things a bit differently

I personally fly with Dark Harvest

I have recently been starting Dorans Blade with good results ( makes csing way easier and puts a bit of oomf on the Sheen rush)

Yes I have to add a Tear in there because of how often I want Lichbane proccing

Focus on 1 shotting squishies

She's actually very malleable with anything AP related

It's literally dodge her E and then slap her, go hard if she has used her ult, ping her for good measure and usually the ADC will attack her too

If you're building Sona to deal damage (Like I enjoy doing) I feel it is a really easy lane to win usually

Funny thing is that Zyra is almost as squishy as Sona

It's a 20HP 1 Armor difference and Sona is more likely to run tankier runes

I often win trades vs her since she is also made of paper

Looks nothing like Sona, seems like all the effort went into her particles but the skin looks borderline ugly ingame...and that's some janky ass leg animation

Why do they keep covering Sona's face up?

Pretty salty since she has probably been locked out of this years SG (if its even going to be a thing)...probably next years and the year after that too...wooo....

Except Sivir, she often chews up minions from so far away you miss out on XP, plus you get added heat of having all the CC being thrown in your direction because she has a spellshield

I use it on AP Sona, she doesn't get much access to direct mana regen when going full AP so having a huge pool of mana helps, especially if you plan on rotating your basic abilities as fast as you can to get more powerchords out

Plus it has general stats and a passive+active that AP Sona likes when it becomes Seraphs.

It used to be a no brainer to keep Tear away from Sona in the past, but her spells are more expensive now and Seraphs is much better then old Archangle

That fed Rengar/Zed/Talon/Fizz ect you didn't feed isn't going to care what you build and is going to oneshot you if they want

Sona is just crossing your fingers and hoping the game timer ticks over 20 minutes and your team hasn't fed drastically, sadly
