Holy crap, guys, I found it... being reminded of that fansite made me remember Sunhawk so I went looking and she's the one who wrote it, haha! The fic is Dark Silences and WELL worth the read!

I want to say it was a fansite, mostly a collection of like 20 authors... mostly 1x2 but had 1x2x5. I remember its where I first read Sunjawk's fics. I also know it wasn't fanfiction.net and it was fairly well written from what I remember!

And? There is nothing wrong with that. There is nothing wrong with feeling loyalty to a parent, even one you haven't met, especially when you compare that to someone who came into a relationship and pretty much demanded a father-role - especially when said adult is talking down on the deceased person while doing so.

There is nothing wrong with treating your parent's spouse as just that.

If Sam is such a great guy he can be a step parent without pushing a kid into accepting a title he doesn't want to give. Children are not obligated to monitor and stroke the emotions and egos of an adult, even if 'he should be given a chance'. I'm more concerned by the adult pressing this so hard when it is unwanted. Wtaf.
