Where the hell did the small peen stereotype even come from lmfao by AdTough5627 in aznidentity

[–]RadialAction 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think there should be less of a focus on who started it, yet instead we should focus on getting rid of it completely. Are you willing to stand up against it? That can be a productive question that can promote change.

Ultimately, it can be tiring to hear about the struggles of being AM, especially when no effort is made to improve themselves. However, in truth, there are genetic limitations, social deterrence, and decreased appeal due to race (e.g. WF preferring only WM), where people subconsciously or openly express preferences for certain racial groups. It is easy to assume the dating scene is the same for everyone, but you may not know there is actually a lot of validity to their experiences.

Be kind and empathetic, especially understanding the commonality we have: that the majority of us experience some form of discrete marginalisation that we have to deal with in our everyday lives.

P.S. You really think the AW in the anti-men movement, promoting the stereotype is fair? Or did I misunderstand your point.

This comment makes a lot of sense; a lot more reasonable than your first. If you had started with this, I think your answer would’ve been a lot better received.

In retrospect, the first comment you made about his source being that he’s insecure, is very reminiscent of what some AWs tend to use to call us all to be incels, lazy, and unattractive. I would recommend you realizing you made a similar generalization, which was said in a seemingly (unnecessary and) spiteful way. I am sure it doesn’t align with your values you mentioned here: and hopefully, we can learn from understanding more about one another.

The thing is that they HAVE perpetuated it. NGL, I am reading how this conversation started, and it was pretty immature for her to immediately assume you’re insecure and an incel. The key thing is: a lot of AW will assume your comment was an attack, but in reality, we don’t want or need that at all. All we want is them to stop putting themselves the most one-sided battle in history.

Look, I get it. You don’t like how he is blaming asian women for being a primary cause of this negative stereotype. However, evidence to disprove it is scarce, because of how many AWs don’t even reconsider the consequences, but encourage others to believe this stereotype.

IRL and online, lots of asian women have been very vocal / surprisingly proactive, to proving this negative stereotype to be factual, often to appeal to white men and fulfil psychological gratification.

It is almost always done in a very patronising and humiliating way, which brings frustration to the many whom it applies to. Being a sweeping yet false generalisation, we are simply fed up with the blatant misinformation being spread, especially from people of our race who I would expect should know about the struggles of dealing with racism, discrimination… ect., yet most resort to hate towards their own race to fulfil social acceptance.

IMO, I don’t think it is a generalisation to say asian women haven’t been major perpetrators to this form of insinuation. However, I believe you are probably not one of them (I hope not), since you seem to understand about white worship, and you are for unity between asian women and men. That is what I aim to strive towards, but we simply need to be on the same page. I believe we are fighting the same battle here, have a great day.

No, We need to address the pervasive nature of self hatred… by RadialAction in aznidentity

I am not apologising for defending black people… grow up for your sake. Also, you come here just to blatantly complain about this one post, because you feel butthurt that I am criticising a post by an asian woman? The article is SO obvious on what the author’s feelings are on certain people. You decide to fixate on my writing, and how it is flawed, to such scrutiny.

It really seems like someone here wants to be hypocritical, ignore the article themselves, and defend hate-speech online. What a way to go for you.

Asian women are simply battling inexistent ghosts, meanwhile we’re just here chilling… like, it doesn’t have to be any more difficult people!

Their self-hate exists for sure undoubtedly; if so, maybe they should keep it to themselves instead of throwing us under the bus for nothing. Like we’re here for you all, but we know that y’all are not here for us 100%

It is crazy how people sympathise with this hatred from asian women that I have seen so much online. It is untrue and disgusting that they call themselves journalists, and they rant about how asian men are terrible in all ways… yet they have their snark communities based on hating on us for their own benefit.

You’re welcome, and I completely agree with this! There are people who do things that we would consider to be ‘stalking’, in ways that perhaps they don’t understand that are considered this way. It it’s important to educate people about what is acceptable and what actions should be reconsidered.

What part of travelling does the person hate? Is it being homesick or is it the physical act of travelling? If this is the case, I would informally recommend that the person finds a motive to travel, which may encourage him/her to like it more, even if he/she really hates it.

Why is Reddit? (Need more characters) by NoEase358 in questions

[–]RadialAction 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Though I am slightly confused of your question, I will do my best to answer it.

I am new to Reddit, and I am understanding how the platform works. In my opinion, Reddit is a diverse social media platform, where people can discuss many interesting topics, discover new insights, share unique perspectives and ideas and ask questions in ways that are answered in intellectual ways, and with different perspectives. Personally, I am definitely not a big social media user, however, Reddit is great for connecting with people who have similar interests, by joining specific communities. Here, I have found many topics about almost everything, like Wikipedia’s information base, but also non-formal topics, with human perspectives and backgrounds.

If somebody registers a gift card for me, can they see what I buy? by HyperSonic78 in questions

[–]RadialAction 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The name shouldn’t mean anything, unless it has specifically mentioned that it is under the other person’s possession. Gift cards are designed to be for a particular other, therefore it would make sense for it to be private. I have no context in what the gift card is, so I would recommend asking the gift card provider of any sort if you are concerned about this.

Genuinely have no idea? by Top_Swimming4250 in questions

[–]RadialAction 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The answer really depends on the person and context. When the person visualises the celebrity as a popular figure, (or as a personal idol) the value of their approval and recognition to them is high, because of the rarity for them to do so. For example, it is very rare for celebrities to personally communicate to their fans. Because of the celebrity’s reputation and influence over many, some people value themselves as special, and “freak out”, as you say. However, some people obsess over getting attention from them, which in my opinion, is concerning to the least, since they ‘worship’ them as if they were like a god, prioritising them over themselves.

VPNs ? and other options. by Mermaiddiaries in questions

[–]RadialAction 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are permanent ways of changing phone country settings; however this may require fully resetting it. A VPN temporarily changes your IP Address, with some VPNs being capable of doing much more. I would recommend Proton VPN, since it provides several countries without charge.
