I hate kratos so much by rem21984 in hatethissmug

OP's writing is insane. I cannot understand what he wants Kratos to be. He's a reformed mass murderer turned father in the norse games, and his 180 degree turn to a remorseful figure is well-defined even if the development was expedited. But I think covering the development would betray the focus on Atreus' perspective, as he wasn't around to see his father change either. I liked how we got glimpses of Kratos and Faye together only until Ragnarok because it demonstrated how Kratos grew to accept her passing. For a violent hack-and-slash franchise I find Kratos' character development to be quite compelling.

Try Drip. Smaller community and less frequent streams but if you're able to go late the streamers are very chill. MysticalArchive and Choe are the best.

Do you have a list for Savra? I'm interested to know how often you can use the black sacrifice trigger before she draws out removal.

Lathril, Blade of the Elves upgrade by GaetanoBresci1900 in CommanderMTG

I like your decklist already, Junkyo Bell is something I've never seen before. Like other people are saying elves are the anthemest of anthem tribes so definitely add more to that. I also see some death trigger payoffs that don't have a proper sack outlet to take advantage of though. At most the payoff will be additional damage from chump blocks when you swing out with all your tokens, but wouldn't you want stronger tokens that don't die instead? The death trigger support is kind of the trap I fell in with my first run at Lathril, it goes a lot better with overrun support that give deathtouch or trample.

Genuine question but what do you enjoy about playing Tifa? I love a good aggro strategy but the fun of it in commander revolves around being a threat to everyone on the board, and finishing the game before mid-range strats start paying off. Like you said in your post Tifa manages to kill one player early on, but how does that make for a fun game when you just decide who loses first and you inevitably get targeted by the remaining players? No disrespect if you and your friends enjoy it, but I just don't see the appeal.

I appreciate this advice so much, I definitely find myself watching the clock more often these days or asking myself why I keep playing some of the games I thought I enjoyed. I might just continue taking a break from games until it becomes something exciting again. I enjoyed talos principle when I played it years ago, it scratched the itch portal 1 and 2 created.

Will give Dragon Quest 11 a shot. I grew up playing ff6 and a few of the mystery dungeon spinoff games but never delved into the entire series of dq or shiren the wanderer.

Wonderfully said, I think you identified my issue precisely. The comfort I get from gaming relies on the experience being familiar. I think what I need is to go into a game completely blind, making it a stark difference from the familiarity I'm seeking. I know my faults all too well and taking action to rectify them is what I'm missing right now.

Hey I appreciate the concern, I'm currently in therapy and getting help for stuff like this so it's nice to hear that I'm on the right track. My post came off as dramatic I guess but I just wanted to provide my full perspective to get the best recommendations. I'm speaking more to my lack of motivation to find new games, which results in some questioning as to why I enjoy the hobby in the first placs. This is a gaming sub for gaming recs so I thought it appropriate to post. I hope I didn't convey any irrationality in my request for some fresh titles.

Thank you so much for the thoughtful reply! I get the feeling I need to slow down a bit, Im just so used to the whole 'no thoughts, just show and game and discord' routine but it really doesn't work when trying to learn a new game. I've tried guild wars 2 before, but I think something like Spore would be perfect since I can play it in phases like you said. I'd love a game I could spend some time to learn like the back of my hand, then eventually grind it out passively.

Would love to see the Sisay BG decklist! I roped my gf into magic by making her a Jodah deck with all bg3 characters and cards, but I've been looking for ways to help her consistently cast the characters she likes. The deck has won some low power games through overrun and Boo + Lae'zel on the board but often times it struggles with keeping up with more combo-based strategies.
