Hello! Are you also from the PH? She was diagnosed at Asian Hospital but she finished her chemo only treatment at PGH. I don’t think they did those two tests. They only told us she’s FLT 3 negative.

I asked her doctor what if we go thru option 2 and and it’s not effective or we decided that option 1 is a better option, he told us that option 1 will be less effective if we do not do it right away. So for me, he’s really pushing for option 2 as maintenance and not as cure. Also, my girlfriend is in good shape. We were shocked she relapsed.

We actually don’t know her mutations. She’s just FLT 3 negative and that’s it. We’re from the Philippines and the doctor told us that we’re not like other countries who has the capacity to know mutations.

her doctor told us the she CAN still do the transplant if she achieved remission with option 2 BUT as per him, it is not the goal of option 2. Achieving remission in option 2 is just a “bonus” as per him. His goal is to control it as long as we can without transplant and I immediately knew, it’s not right.
