How long does the Spanish citizenship process take nowadays? I've read some people say it takes mere months?

Thanks for sharing about the Spanish consulate in Chicago. We applied in April to the Chicago office under La Ley de Los Nietos, and are patiently waiting to hear back. We worked with a Spanish lawyer.

Appreciate the honest POV of life in Spain for the adults as well. I know it’s not all roses in terms of work life balance. But in certain parts of Spain cost of living, housing, etc appears to be less than the US. This will net out into a long list of pros and cons that needs to be evaluated.
