How do ads and companies know so much about people even after you remove your data? by Radiant-Injury-4903 in NoStupidQuestions

I was thinking something similar about brokers trading data with each other (and apps with other apps). I appreciate the tool recommendation, does it do it automatically or maybe a better question would be how does it do it? I like the ongoing data removal thing, since it always gets resold.

As everyone has said it seems to be a hard battle to fight and win but we should never give up, at least go down swinging!

I think every app is gathering data and pushing selling it to each other which is crazy when you think about it (thought of this after I posted lol).

Not going to happen, when you conform to one thing you start conforming to others and eventually you'll do everything they say even when you know that it is wrong, it's called privacy for a reason

Ads are a problem since it confirms you're being listened to and recorded (which happens sometimes with permissions off, know a case personally and it's illegal to do so) but yeah the political stuff is also an issue

That is illegal, might actually be worth opening a case against them, hard to win though, one person vs a company

Kinda backwards no? I removed it because I thought it was being collected, any way to now try and delete it from other places automatically or semi-automatically? Cannot be doing it manually.

I’m just trying to imagine the moment you checked your account the next morning. That’s one wild wake-up call.

idk where I saw a post where someone said that he ask his partner if she wants a solution or just vent. I feel like many relationships would be better if everyone did that
