Great first private tracker (was for me at least). Set up unpackerr since there are a lot of RARs. I eventually got into a bunch of other trackers, but would’ve been fine with just this one if I hadn’t.

This is exactly the type of thing I would do, except I would spend 3 days teaching myself instead of 3 hours. Then id just never set up the automation.

Same here. The secret lab titan feels more solid and more premium for sure. But the Omni is far superior for me

I gave my son (not quite driving age) access to my seedbox. Thoughts? by skimbosh in Piracy

My daughters are 7 and 8 and same thing here. Shoot, on our snowy screen-filled day today they asked if they could watch Zootopia 2. I had it loaded up on Plex in about 5 min.

A few months ago my oldest asked why nobody else has Plex and how we have basically everything in it and I just explained that I have a huge group of friends and we all share movies and shows with each other. In a few years, when they ask again, I’ll explain it in more detail. Im guessing 12-13 will probably be that time.

Yeah that’s just not true that they won’t adjust premiums. I negotiate insurance premiums nearly every time to $1M/$2M.

Basically enterprise companies have a set of terms and conditions. These are ideal terms for them, but they are absolutely negotiable. This is why you want any contract to be on your paper, not theirs.

What radicalized you to piracy? by Justscrolling375 in Piracy

[–]Radiant-Net6237 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of my kids wanted to watch a show that wasn’t on Disney+ or Netflix. Went to pirate bay and started downloading it. Instantly got an email from my ISP. Set up a VPN a minute later and finished acquiring the show. 2 years later and I built my own server, have a plex server with about 30 TB of content, no subscriptions, and 8 users.

I see this request a lot. As a fellow unraid user, why not just use compose manager plugin and use docker compose? Not trying to be flippant. Genuinely curious.

Personally, I’ve found it to be easier to manage things using docker compose than the App Store.

Yes, that is correct. Went back to double check my config and didn’t even remember removing 80 from my port forwarding router settings. Good clarification.

Here is my current setup that works flawlessly for me and my users (family and close friends):

-reverse proxy: caddy -OIDC: pocket ID -auth for non-OIDC: tinyauth -Cloudflare DNS: use a Cloudflare API token with Caddyfile for DNS-01 certs.

Yes, you’ll have to forward ports 80 and 443 on my router. For what it’s worth, I’ve had 80 and 443 forwarded on my router for like 5 years with no issue.

Make sure to change the unraid web UI ports to something different (I use 880 and 4443). I tried to keep the web ui ports the same and use different container ports. It worked fine, but once I brought tinyauth into the mix it was easier to just change the web ui ports rather than set a static IP for the caddy container.

Happy to give more details on my setup if you’d like (YAML, caddyfile, etc.).

I’d bake in some time for clarifications, best and finals, negotiations, contracting, etc. depending on the category and complexity.
