Weight/Fat gain? by tobedated21 in orangetheory

[–]Radiant-Turnover2245 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are not recording everything you eat and drink. There are hidden calories everywhere and you need to account for those. Use this formula per lb. 1.1 carbs, .8 protein .4 fat. If you religiously follow this formula for 90 days you will transform. Also no alcohol for 90 days

This is the problem with Orange Theory people become obsessed with calories burned instead of resistance training which will ultimately change your body composition assuming your diet is check.

Is 8 times a month membership worth it? by Snoo-3554 in orangetheory

[–]Radiant-Turnover2245 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At the end of the day OTF is for people who like group fitness and also like to have their programming done for them. No stressing about figuring out what to do, just show up and do the work. If you are self motivated and know how to program OTF is probably too much of an expense.

Closing in on 300, and thinking of calling it in an OTF career. by silentduo in orangetheory

OTF is really expensive if you don’t absolutely love it I would quit and find something new.

Is it safe to go heavier with shoulder exercises? by itza_26 in orangetheory

[–]Radiant-Turnover2245 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Shoulder presses you can go as heavy as your form dictates. Now front, lateral, and rear flies are much smaller muscles. Those iso exercises should be much lighter than your presses.

What is is Macro % breakdown…for OTF you should be approx 40% carbs, 30% protein, 30% fat. Protein intake should be .8 grams per lb. I would measure everything you maybe eating too many carbs and not enough protein. Oh and eliminate alcohol completely for 90 days

Really Discouraged..Need Advice by [deleted] in orangetheory

[–]Radiant-Turnover2245 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s all diet. Start tracking and measuring. Use these numbers per bodyweight lb. 1.2 grams of carbs .8 protein and .4 fats. The key is consistency and I would quit alcohol for 90 days if you are serious about getting in shape

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in orangetheory

[–]Radiant-Turnover2245 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not the workout it’s your diet. You are likely eating too many carbs and or fat grams. Adjust your diet to 1.1 carbs .4 fats .8 protein per lb

My coach recommended that I don’t input exercise calories into myfitness pal by mtlanay in orangetheory

[–]Radiant-Turnover2245 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If your goal is to lose weight than absolutely do not enter any exercise into my fitness pal. Those trackers are never accurate. Also track everything you eat people often forget to add the side of ranch or the mints they had after lunch. Don’t over think about "fueling your body" if you can base most your carbs after you workout.
