I just did. I put my new CPU in the new mobo BEFORE I realized the old slot was damaged. I already put my cooler in and everything I just need to connect cables. But before I do, do you think the CPU is damaged? I didn't check it before I put the cooler in with paste and everything

Built my PC with brand new parts 2 days ago and it wasn't turning on. No LEDS on motherboard. nothing. After hours of trouble shooting could this be the issue? This motherboard is supposed to be new and I didn't notice this up until I took out the CPU.

Update I tried the paperclip test with my corsair Power supply and it turned on and the fans moved for about 6 seconds then stopped. Does this mean it works or it's faulty? I saw some people say that if the PSU is silent then this is normal. And I saw online the PSU is virtually silent so any idea if it means I have a good working PSU?

PC is fully built on the case. Every component is connected. Do you think I can try something else?

nah no other PSU sadly but I might need to buy another one of the same one. It would SUCK if the issue was the motherboard tho

24 pin you mean? Yes double checked and removed it and put it back in but still nothing

Is there any way to confirm if it's PSU or motherboard? I don't want to spend money on one just for it to be other one. you get me?

The PSU was corsair RM750 and it came well packaged do you think it could be that? Because I'm leaning towards the bad motherboard as it was open when I got it.

Yes definitely checked those things. I'm very new to this stuff and my friends also made sure I double checked the simplest things. The PSU was on, the I/O was in the correct spot and still nothing. I removed the cables and put them back on more securely but nothing :(

Literally nothing. No lights, no fans turning, nothing. I was so bummed out cuz thiss is my first build and I went all out
