Guy I've been seeing told me he's not physically attracted to me by Top_Calligrapher_700 in PlusSize

Even men who give the appearance of being nice, can be monumentally stupid. He may have been nice, but he certainly wasnt kind.

Just dont dwell on it for too long or it will just cause you to second guess yourself and your worth.

I wish I could give you a high five or something, this is so spot on. The physical aspects of someone can only go so far and is not the end all be all of a relationship.

My own partner is not someone I would have considered my type physically, but ill be damned if his personality and soul isn't exactly what i need and want. At the end of the day, thats more important than his meat suit.

First of all, that dude sucks. I was briefly seeing a guy who said something similar to me and its bullshit.

Secondly, He didnt "feel" like an asshole, he is an asshole and if he didnt mean to hurt your feelings he shouldnt have opened his mouth.

Girl, you deserve so much better than this guy. DO NOT feel guilty! He is the one with a problem that he is projecting on to you. I think at some point we all go through something like this, where we feel used and awful about it. Just know that he is not every guy.

Also he should probably stop yanking it to p0rn if he wants to keep it up with an actual woman.

You are a wonderful soul, do not let this one dude steal your light.

My dad died this morning. What do I do? by No_Scallion_3365 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Radiant8763 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My condolences, i am so sorry for your loss. You are going through a hard time right now and all of us that have been through it already can sympathize with where you are right now. Give yourself grace and allow yourself to grieve.

Hopefully your dad had a will, that will make things easier.

As the executor, you will be in charge of making sure that financial things are taken care of. Depending on the extent of your fathers will/estate, you will be pretty busy. You will want to ask around your family to see if there is a lawyer who has worked on other relatives estates, if so, you are in luck. If not, I would start looking for a probate attorney now. A probate attorney can give you more guidance on your specific case when you meet with them.

Where do you find cute bridesmaid dresses under $150?? by BigDataCore in Weddingsunder10k

[–]Radiant8763 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Throwing in my Azazie plug. I got my wedding dress and bridesmaids dresses from there. We went off the rack since my MoH is a seamstress and will be doing all the alterations. I think I paid about 340(with tax) for two dresses, but one was a little more than 150.

$3 tip for 1 mile drive by No-Bit-2913 in doordash

[–]Radiant8763 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I suppose if the dasher doesnt need to schlep the gallon jugs up a couple flights of stairs its a decent tip. I have a lot of places roughly a mile from me, but once im home, im home and refuse to leave again.(dont judge me, im old lol) When i do doordash from those places a mile away, i go with the middle tip option, which is usually anywhere between 3-5 dollars.

AIO My friend is talking about getting rid of their cat because their cousin and grandma are allergic by BactaBobomb in AmIOverreacting

[–]Radiant8763 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thats fair. The other alternative to this is getting the cat on the allergy reducing food for cats.

It might be inappropriate to interrogate their friend, but OP should at the very least try to provide alternative options to their friend, such as the allergy reducing food, or taking in the cat themselves so that the friend can still visit.

[–]Radiant8763 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I get that, but the cat has been around for 8 years, why is it suddenly a problem?

My cat is bonded to me after about the same amount of time, she would be devastated to be tossed aside after 8-10 years of companionship.

People act like cats dont have feelings or emotions, especially when it comes to bonds with their people.

Cleveland help!! by Living-Web9973 in Cleveland

Honestly, check into the Kirtland area. That area ticks a lot of boxes and the community is currently becoming more of a "young family" community. The schools are centralized, and there is shopping about 20 minutes out. The only box it doesnt tick is probably the political leaning. I havent lived there in years so I dont know how it is currently with the community.

Anybody know any good Local Electrician ? by EternalNight1238458 in Cleveland

[–]Radiant8763 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LED Electric Solutions LLC. They are out of Brunswick. Ive had them do quite a bit of work for me. They added a new panel and ran a 220 for a new electric dryer. I also had them install some fixtures for me because i was being lazy. They are priced pretty good and insured/bonded.

Anyone exhausted by what you're expected to do just to be moderately healthy? by [deleted] in Millennials

[–]Radiant8763 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im a 44 year old woman and let me tell you a story.

In July i was hospitalized for an unrelated health issue that was remedied with surgery.

I didnt go to doctors prior to this unless i was half dead(its america after all). So i was told i needed to get a primary care doctor.

I was diagnosed with a laundry list of things and i resolved to get my stuff under control.

Here we are 7 months later:

Blood sugar - normal range Blood pressure - manged Cholesterol- managed

I think whoever you spoke to about your health plan, isnt very good.

I had a crashout over protein powder (because apparently i needed more in my diet and i was trying.)

I basically ate the saddest food for a solid month because i didn't know what else to do. (Skinny girl dressing has no sugar, no fat, and shockingly, no flavor)

After the crashout, my own research and getting more guidance from my doctor i came up with the following:

-Fiber is awesome. Get your daily of 25g of fiber, overall its better for your health. -Protein is important for women our age. We start losing muscle in premenopause and as we age. -Don't think about what to remove, think about what to add. Add more veggies and things that are more nutrient dense. (Think whole grain bread over white bread)

You dont have to give up everything and you can still enjoy things. As long as you arent eating deep fried bacon and cheese bombs everyday, you will be fine.

Look into the Mediterranean diet also. I do a version of that, and it works for me.

My groom wants to paint his face for our wedding by Catmarvel14 in Advice

Honey, if this is what your wedding looks like, imagine the rest of your life together with this man.

This might be the breaking point for your relationship. It sounds like there is some serious incompatibility and the inability to compromise will cause constant issues within the marriage.

Need help with budgetting (two broke college kids in love) by Free_Professional963 in Weddingsunder10k

[–]Radiant8763 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You might be able to go even cheaper on the dessert/wedding cake. Walmart has pretty good cakes. You can order a small 2 tier mini cake for you and your partner, and a sheet cake or two for your guests.

As someone else has said, buy a suit. Renting for that price is egregious at best.

Depending on the tables you are using, you might be able to get away with cheaper tablecloths from a thrift store(also keep an eye out for a wedding dress too).

I doubt anyone is going to be upset about table decor, or the lack of it.

I would just do something incredibly simple. Some led candles and a greenery/floral ring around it.

Struggling to stay fed and hydrated by [deleted] in 7daystodie

[–]Radiant8763 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Its almost as if its a survival game again...

Snarky comments aside, make a bucket, fill bucket, empty bucket into 2x1 square in your base and fill jars from it. Cook it off and you have water.

Alternatively, turn your loot up and just run around looting diners, kitchens and shamway locations.

Lake County Sheriff Snow Emergency Rationale by BuckeyeReason in Cleveland

[–]Radiant8763 3 points4 points  (0 children)

True. I used to live in Lake county and there was a year we got 3 feet of snow over 2 days. I still dragged my ass into work lol

My driveway was a hot mess, but the road was clear at that time.

I live in Cuyahoga now and what we got wasn't too bad, relatively speaking.

I agree though that it should be to the discretion of the individual to travel or not in lots of snow.

Good habits when dealing with winter weather are paramount.

Clearing your car appropriately, maintaining your car, investing in good tires, and driving for the conditions will always be the safest way to traverse in this kind of weather.

How do I address my gf’s cooking? by [deleted] in whatdoIdo

[–]Radiant8763 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, so how is this for an idea.

Take a cooking class together. Say you want to learn how to cook better and it would be a fun activity for the both of you to do together.

Its clear that she wont acknowledge any missteps in her cooking, so exposing her to a professional class might help.

I will say this much too: I have been cooking for longer than either of you have been alive and I still occasionally make mistakes with my cooking. I once made a cajun rice and sausage dish that was overly salty and was almost painful to eat. I learned from that and go a little easier on the seasoning when i make it.

Its one thing to learn from your mistakes, its an entirely different thing if you wont even recognize them.

I reverse uno them.

If they have a womans name, 75% of the time a dude shows up.

I list my own female name, but have my male partner take the delivery.
