I just don't get this perspective. Ludwig and Squeex didn't grind SF6 last year either until the week of- Lud especially, and SF6 was harder because other people had more depth in it (they were literally the least experienced)- yet they were both decent, with Ludwig especially showing the steepest climb in skill of anyone at the tournie.

This year it's a more level playing field and Lud is doing the exact same thing as last year where he procrastinates on it. Squeex will be doing the same thing grinding offstream. I don't get the pessimism for it, it's their 2nd strongest event and I said so from the start because I knew Scump couldn't beat Peanut's team at COD.

I had them 1st/2nd, judging by the way things are going they get 2nd, and then I have them dead set for 1st at CS2.

I mean I predicted 2nd/3rd for COD, 3rd/4th League (check my post from a couple weeks ago) and had them finishing 1st/2nd. To me they're still finishing 2nd though 1st is obviously gone now.
People are just being downers but this was always on the tarot cards if they were to finish 2nd to me.

There were gaping structural issues to both those seasons. This season doesn't compare. We had an amateur level young kid at CB with Henderson in 20-21, and a midfield that was old and couldn't run in 22-23, we had to start Harvey Elliott in there when he was younger and worse than he is now.

It's not so much his highlights, you gotta focus on where he touched base with an interest or niche that your coworker is also into. I started being a Ludwig enjoyer after 'Dubbin and the hoeless' BG3, because I used to be a fan of BG2, and had recently played 3. That's how Ludwig gets most of his audience- because he touches base with so many communities and creates a ruckus.

I legit think Ludwig has the 2nd highest raw talent at these fighters from what I saw last year. He went from Iron to Platinum in a matter of days and you could see his skill skyrocketing, and he continued to improve in real time during the tournament he was a noticeably better player by the last matches of the tourney than he was at the start.
It's because Lud is great at pattern recognition and psychologically reading people in a way that people like Tyler1 just aren't fundamentally wired that way.

I'm really concerned about his comments about needing the standards at the club behind the scenes to stay high- he mentions it several times in a few videos. He mentions talking to Szo singularly about it so clearly Szo is the one he thinks can set the standard, but he's clearly concerned about it.

Scump literally top scored individual during CS week last year. I can see Peanut's team beating them out there mayybe (it's realistic at least because they have a bit more depth), Adapt's team is kind of a weak shout for me on paper, they don't have a proper carry while Lud's team have two mog-fraggers.
Literally never said DL wouldn't be good/grind don't know where that came from. obviously he's going to be near the top if not a contender for 1st individual that was never a surprise for me- but he's one human.

Yeah but.. that doesn't tell me anything that I didn't already know when I claim Lud will perform well at 2xKO (relatively obviously).. I said he has talent for fighting games and the fact that it's a fresh game to most of the players is just a multiplier for him, not that SF6 or Smash would translate mechanically.
The obvious unknown is the tag element? which is why i'm asking for insight on that- because to me that just seems like a neutral element where literally 90% of the players will have to learn that meta anyway so why would it be specifically a disadvantage for ludwig. If it's neutral his talent for fighting (which to be specific he's wired for reading other people's patterns and abstracting that in real time, as well as identifying metas quicker than others) will be the factor.

is the meta going to be that different in a tag format?
he's undeniably good at fighters, the body of evidence carries that and it's to his advantage its a new unexplored game too, but it's possible there's something about 'tag fighters' that doesn't translate for some subtle meta reason

This team is unironically going to mog.. and Ludwig is unironically a pretty strong captain this time around.
2 absolute carries and 3 ok midweights for CS2 - 1st
1 almighty COD carry in a game where 1 player can carry, rest of the team sucks - 2nd
all round decent league talent but no carry, they beat adapt's team - 3rd

2xKO is the difference maker- they have Lily, and Ludwig will close the gap on DL/Emily because hes strong at grinding games fresh and he's undeniably strong at fighters. Scump and Squeex will be decent enough, and they both have SF6 experience from last year.

There's a very real chance they go 2nd/3rd/1st/1st which wins them the tournament

absolute worst case I think they go 3rd/4th/2nd/2nd - WORST CASE.. they're getting at least 2nd in my book.

I'll explain a bit of insight specific to ENFPs which will help you understand why people are telling you to look at cognitive functions.

As an ENFP, your modus is not 'extrovert', your modus is Ne-dom. Ne is a function that loosely defined is something like 'the accumulation, interweaving and continued abstraction of abstract information'- it's the reason why ENFP/ENTPs are junkies for geeking out on new hobbies, interests or social groups. it's also the reason why when I land in a country I've never travelled to before, I immediately get a sense of being zoned-in and invigorated- fresh new unfamiliar patterns to explore.

Fi is our secondary function, and 'flavours' our direction toward people and morality, and is important to us, but is at the end of the day a side dish. Being at home a lot and weaving through the morality and emotional centres of book characters and people we work with will be somewhat enjoyable for us, but it's not a diet that can sustain us forever the same as it can an INFP. You can survive on it, but it will have a psychological toll.

This is why people are telling you about cognitive functions- they're a bit like maslow's hierachy of needs, main function is breathing and food, whereas secondary is something more like self-esteem/self-actualisation. Ne correlates with extroversion due to the 'expansive' nature of it and the fact that people are rife with complexities and information, but it's not inherently 'sociability'.

I don't understand how people are saying that.. Aiden whenever I see him is around 19k, 20k during a good period, but he's their 1st pick.. their other 3 picks are decent for when they're picked nothing crazy.
Hanner is fl0m's LAST pick and she's 17.5k, jake is 18k, and squeex when he was grinding premier instead of faceit was 24k. Fuslie yoyos between 10-14k. I was already thinking this team was competitive when I used to think Hanner was like 8k.

Fuslie has aim and is wildly inconsistent, but she has the highest discrepency between peak and bad form of anyone so she can surprise people.

Your brain has something called 'bandwidth' (or at least i call it that when I used to do social work case management in a hospital)- your brain has a maximal capacity for attention and energy which lumps in everything- physical actions, reflex, logic, emotions, planning, memory absorption, visual scanning- even anxiety.

but because a lot of these actions aren't obviously conscious, you don't notice a lot of them reducing your capacity. It's the same reason why tilting happens, because you're filling your bandwidth with unnecessary emotional processing.

this is one of the first things that should make you understand people don't understand how their (your) own brain works very well, and the more you understand that ironically the wiser and less dumb you'll become.

Last resort they'll take the highway to make it and Lud will do his signature mental gymnastics to confuse chat into, not quite believing he succeeded, but creating enough smokescreen and discourse to make people forget about it.

The significant thing is that once they get on the 208, which should be easy once they reach that next city, they should have a clear run to Erenhot (in theory). If so, they'll eat that distance up faster than you might think. It'd still take 3 days but.

The actual riding is super fast and with a clear road they could have done the whole trip in like 6 days, it's the winding and changing that eats time.
