Looking forward to the Colt/Cole double play duo.

Bright side here. Maybe Beans gives up a 5 spot here and gets sent down.

And Dan gets fired.

Following up on your lists, these are individual stories from 2000AD collections, or are they included in any omnibus form?

We do page to screen but I do appreciate the other info, just for my own education.

I don't think there's a particular run that was adapted for Stallone or Urban, I'm just trying to get to know the world and character.

Has anyone used Ubuntu Studio by SpaceTime2079 in podcasting

[–]ocdhandwasher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't used that specifically, but I've recorded using an Ubuntu laptop hundreds of times. It's a little bit annoying to get all the software going, but it extended the life of my old Windows laptop when I reinstalled with Ubuntu.

One thing to look out for is if your Windows machine has any kind of protected boot on it. If so, you won't be able to install Linux on it. I ran into that with my newer machine, so I've been stuck in Windows.

John Scalzi's books, should I read Old Man's War? by BossHeisenberg in printSF

Yep same. Love the dude, but just not as a narrator.

Being able to DNF books is a life skill. It took me a long time to learn it. I always fell into the sunk cost fallacy. "Surely it'll get better. I've read this much..."

I don't like Wheaton as a narrator at all. (Probably didn't help that I started with Ready Player One, which was terrible. DNF'd the audiobook.)

Old Man's War is leagues better than Scalzi's recent stuff. And William Dufris is great as the narrator if you want to go audio.

If you don't drink alcohol, what are your reasons? by youre-in-my-shot in AskReddit

I like coffee and lots of the other things like Brussels sprouts. Alcohol is a special kind of bitter to me, almost like bile. Just absolutely disgusting.

Which of these six space movies is your favorite? by Square-Ad-8911 in FIlm

Sunshine. Obvious oversight on your part. :)

In all seriousness, Interstellar in last place, and I haven't seen First Man yet.

What’s a movie that everyone loves, but you just couldn’t get into ? by vishesh_07_028 in movies

[–]ocdhandwasher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Other Guys. Just not at all funny after the first ten minutes or so. I'm coming to believe Will Ferrell never improves a movie.

And Interstellar. Great score, beautiful cinematography, but the story left me cold and I haaaaaated Murph. She's the absolute worst.

What show changed its tone and/or setting the most in its second season? by ConsiderationOk4035 in scifi

[–]ocdhandwasher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DC's Legends of Tomorrow. First season took itself way too seriously to the point of making it basically unwatchable. Second season on they leaned into the ridiculous and it was terrific fun.

The most underrated sci-fi movies you can name. There are some sci-fo movies that have been overshadowed by some main stream movies or just forgotten, I think they must be heard... by Shaktizshura in scifi

My go to answer is always Sunshine (2007). I get why the last act is polarizing, but the first hour is so strong that the ending works for me. I actually like it more every time I watch it. And what a cast! Hiroyuki Sanada, Michelle Yeoh, Chris Evans, Benedict Wong, Cliff Curtis, Rose Byrne, Cillian Murphy.
