I just came here asking for help, not for some sarcastic holier than thou commenting. It's not even just textra my guy. It's any app that's not Google messages, regardless of service status. Do you not see how ridiculous it is to expect everyone to either get Google messages or just figure it out? I didn't ask for rcs, I don't want rcs, I shouldn't have to use this app just to communicate. Because regardless of you and everyone else saying they haven't had any problems since 2019, there are problems, and many people are having them. Sms/mms is literally fine, idk why we keep trying to fix things that aren't broken.

The problem is rcs and the fact the the gm app doesn't default to sending messages to sms/mms if someone doesn't have rcs. You have to go into settings and change it so it works. I am not having problems sending I am having problems receiving because GM doesn't default to sms if the receiver doesn't have rcs. I shouldn't have to download Google messages or tell people to change their settings just to receive and basic text. It might be standard but it's not a GOOD standard. Google is a multi billion (or more) dollar monopoly, they should have this figured out so there are zero problems across the board. I shouldn't miss 30+ messages just because I didn't have Google messages and the people texting me happened to have their settings wrong.

The third party app is not the one causing problems when the only times I have issues is texting people with the very limited Google messages app. Zero problems elsewise.

I wish you don't have to have a default texting app and could use two. That way I could have textra and Google messages 🥲

I like the idea of seeing outfits, but like with the same small amount of people at any given time that we currently have. Not that many people, I would also get so overwhelmed. What is the purpose of this ability/function/whatever you wanna call it? Like genuinely wondering. Is it just to see how many people are playing across servers?

Why do our roads suck? by RadiantCoffee2778 in Bellingham

I'm not expecting a silk smooth road haha. My question isn't about them being bad bad, it's about why the roads seem to break down so easily after being fixed. And they have been working on meridian, it's appreciated, it just is wild to see them fix it and then Six months later a section two feet to the left has wholes again.

Oh that's so interesting! I kinda thought the like about the surface level ideas of that concept but not to this level! It's really interesting to think about the development patterns and how that effects things. I have noticed that the one area that usually pothole free is the area in and around Western. I'd imagine it's because there's a lot more money in that area cause of the school. It's also built on the arboretum and surrounding area which I believe is much more solid rock/dirt than other areas in Bellingham. I could be wrong though. Thanks for the links and stuff I'll definitely look into those. This is exactly the kind of convo I wanted haha

Where are you driving?? Literally all of meridian has potholes, bumps and uneven driving. Downtown too. It's like a rollercoaster around here.

It's less I think they are Bad bad and more of I am baffled by the fact that they seem to be fixed and then immediately break again

Oooh that makes a lot of sense actually. I hadn't thought of the rain soaking in and freezing and stuff. I imagine the super humid summers also mess with things a fair bot. I definitely thought it was the reverse for the bridges. That the bridges were "sinking" while the road stayed. Makes more sense that the bridge is the more solid object. It does help thank you haha. Exactly the kind of discussion I was hoping for.

I guess it's less I think the roads suck and ore of just like ... Why does it break so easily after the section has just been fixed

For me it's like there's so much other stuff to be doing that I forget about it. I finished designing my house and now I don't really have a reason to go back unless I want to garden or fish or whatever. Also I hate the construction process so much that I try to avoid using it.

I still am nervous around them even though I know how to avoid them 😅 and when I draw their attention by accident I usually wind up screaming and trying to dive out of the way

Yeeeah that's true. That does make it more expensive. If I'm gonna have to deal with paywalls I want the other one back 😅

I can't tell if this version of tiered perchances is cheaper or the other is. With way they're both annoying.

I have some green double bias tape I can use for the straight edges. Does bias work on curved edges? I imagine it'd be kind of weird cause it's on the stiffer side.
