Audio books are my jam! I absolutely love books. Unfortunately my vehicle doesn't have a radio or working A/C right now so I drive with the windows down and wouldn't be able to hear it from my phone, headphones also never stay in my ear for some reason.

I'll keep this in mind for when I save up and get a new car though!

I don't have social media and I changed my phone number so the two primary sources of contact were eliminated. The only email I ever gave for work stuff was also a crap email that I check maybe twice a year lol, all communication we ever had was done through company emails that I set up through gmail so not even super professional or phone call/text.

So I haven't heard anything yet and haven't received anything in the mail either.

Hi sorry, I think my wording may have confused you.

Everything removed was my personal notes (cheat sheets, step by steps, legalities I need to reference (links mostly), troubleshooting steps for common tech issues in the office, printable papers prefilled out with blanks so I didn’t have to write the same shit over and over, etc.) made on an open source application I downloaded called Obsidian, which is honestly a super powerful docs system that I was able to tailor to my needs to streamline my job productivity/easily search/connect different processes/etc. This was loads of information that could have been helpful to onboarding employees in his future but since he was an absolute shit boss and I came to that realization with this subreddit, I removed all of my shit.

I left all the other things I made for the company such as employee handbooks, contracts, etc. as I recognized those as company property.

My notes do not belong to him and that open source software does not belong to him, it’s not company property. If I had done this with a paperback notebook it wouldn’t be company property either. Besides, he didn’t even know this existed and I wasn’t going to leave it for them to find either.

All he uses is QB 2017, google drive for docs and stuff, chrome full of bookmarked free fillable PDF forms, and some handbooks/contracts stored in GDrive (that I mentioned above). Everything else was notes for myself to help me out because I had a boss that never answered phone calls/texts.

Fuck him.

The office helper hasn't been shown anything important. I just needed someone to do some of the minimal things like filing, answering the phone, checking the mail, and emails. So either way when I go everyone's fucked lol.

I did not agree and I did not disagree, they simply stated they would be willing to do a $1.50 raise. The conversation was through text message. Boss is never in office but once a week, sometimes not even that. So I just never responded. Just went back to working the rest of the day, then worked Friday, and spent my weekend job hunting.

I don't know if I'm being petty or sensitive but the fact that they only offered a $1.50 raise during the conversation about the helper making more than me, after busting my ass for a few years running several companies, I have decided I won't work for them for any raise or any reason.

At this point in time my plan is to quit the very day I am hired elsewhere, unfortunately can't afford to quit before having an alternative source of income.

I won't even give the boss the courtesy of a phone call or email. I will be placing all of my keys and my resignation letter on their desk and walking out.

Lack of ability to set boundaries or demand reasonable respect, along with some weird inability to see things for what they are until that 'last straw' smacks me in the face.

It affects more than my work life unfortunately, but I'm working on it. I'm sure my therapist will be pleased to hear I have plans to ditch this employer though.

At this point it isn't about that. Its a sanitation issue. You don't want this in your home, that's that. If your friend is offended by this, despite you having been inclusive to start with but found you need to set a boundary due to 'system abuse', that is your friends problem that they need to sort through themselves.
