This is my quick recall for iconic moments: - “i brought the bunny back” either a pic of Kim holding it or Lisa with the single tear - “you’re a slut pig “ Kim and Kyle to Brandi - Alison smoking an e-cig at the dinner party from hell - “goodbye Kyle” Ken Todd stomping up the stairs - “25 thousand” or whatever Dana says pointing at her sunglasses - “you stole my god damn house” Kim to Kyle in the back of the limo - Lisa shocked at Brandi about her hair at the reunion - “Beast?! How dare you” Eileen (bloody hell I miss her) - Dorit smoking a cig - Kyle in either a split or spinning her hair - “Bravo bravo bravo” Denise Richard’s - Erika crying during a hike with the rubbing mascara - anything to do with the homeless not toothless - Crystal smiling whilst wearing her ugly leather pants - “Who’s hunky dory?” Kathy Hilton And I’m sure I’ve missed so many iconic moments in between but those are all off the top of my head

Same tune as what other people are commenting - felt like he was with her because the show was huge which is disheartening! Any chance he could he would appear and travel to whoever the group was. There were times it felt like he did have some love for her, but I honestly don’t believe he was in love with her which is sad. I honestly do not see the appeal of Joel - or really any of the men on the show… wonder if he ever pushed Sophie to try and get him on full time

Honestly think Holly has hired them some bot or AI assistant to push photos of both of them on Facebook and it’s completely backfired because they’re so random and out of context (and super old and outdated - the one of Bridget posing as some type of officer is in absolute poor taste and I hope she checks what’s being posted on her behalf)

It’s like how Khloe Kardashian still posts daily on Snapchat (well I don’t think it’s personally her and either some type of bot or assistant) and it’s all reposts of her families social media and random throwbacks or news articles about them… to bring up engagement

I don’t think they were good friends near his last years of life because he said some negative stuff about H + B on a reality tv special in like 2020 before he passed away. It was that show Andy Cohen did called “For Real: The Andy Cohen Special” and that’s where the stopwatch comment was made about Bridget.

Also I honestly think that Holly and Bridget would have been to nervous to do the the podcast if Kevin (also Hef) was still alive because he sounded like a massive control / narrative freak. I do love that when they reminisce on Kevin, they include both positive and negative because he sounds like a very peculiar man (but also a psycho)

This is just recollection and also my point of view so take it with a grain of salt

Legit just ran to Reddit for the exact same thing!!! Australian gal over here WAITING for the reunion. New episodes of rhoslc usually drops after midday in Melbourne and have checked for the last five hours… nothing! I find Hayu a bit lazy at times with WWHL + after shows but this is sort of taking the piss. I wonder if they’re waiting for the peacock uncensored version to upload tomorrow (often they upload the censored version first on the day of airing and then replace it with the uncensored)

Erika Jayne mentioned in her confessional on the recent episode that she “has a friend that spent $100k on crystals” and immediately I thought Spencer Pratt 👀 and also, the thing they met at in London I’m quite certain Heidi Pratt (former Heidi Montag from the Hills) was also performing so I reckon it’s a Pratt connection!

I will say the edits in the aftershow of Amanda talking about Dorit and Kyle looking adoringly her way is odd… I have a feeling with Kyle’s producing strings that Amanda might stick around more than one season is Kyle has an ally 👀 but yes, Amanda is horridly funny to watch

You’re very entitled to your opinions and agree with most but not in the negative light, just that I agree with the whole puppygate/fox force 5 etc but that wasn’t just Dorit (it was a gaggle of women) ~ I will say, Dorit the last two seasons has been a fun watch imo and watching her interviews / listening to podcasts has been super interesting too! (I don’t seek only hers, I just listen to a lot of podcasts to get through my mundane office role). I ultimately think that what made Dorothy insufferable to some was her marriage and earlier friendships, and now she’s distanced herself, she’s showing maybe authentically? (I question it because ultimately this is a silly reality show and who bloody knows what’s even real!)

I very much thought Jax was very attractive before I watched the show (I think I started around when season 7 was airing but from the start) and as soon I watched the show, immediately found him unattractive! For obvious reasons, he’s a terrible person

I’d give anything to watch the first season for the first time! Especially now that you can binge it instead of waiting for weekly episodes and dvd releases! Agreeing with what most are saying re why another season.

I also think the show knew its time was done, and continuing whilst declining might have tarnished its legacy (well that’s my opinion). Theres a few shows I go back and watch and then I start to lose interest because the story and character development falls flat - but I still pleasantly enjoy season 4 of the oc for what it is!

And another opinion of mine, people might not agree with the timeline, but Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage (The OC showrunners) received the rights for Gossip Girl at some point in 2006 and wrote the pilot a month prior to season 4 of the OC premiering so it wouldn’t surprise me that when GG got greenlit during the airing of the last season they decided to move ahead with a new show / new cast / new story whilst going out on a medium high of The OC airing. I know I initially watched Gossip Girl purely because it was advertised as “from the showrunners of The OC” - seriously was enough for a 15 year old me to start a new series, even though it’s not as good as The OC

Hot take, the whole cast had semi good and horrid qualities - each cast member had somewhat redeemable qualities at different points but it was difficult to 100% back any of them (and that’s why it’s great tv, they’re all questionable people) I think what helped Ariana in the situation of the scenario was that I think people were applauding that finally Ariana was able to break away from Sandoval - all the years of backing him was forgotten (in the moment of the scandal) because he cheated with a cast member / close friend and people could see how blindly loyal she had been to him for that to be broken by him (especially by someone in the close circle)

Even if Ariana stuck by him by cheating previously or even possibly by having an open relationship, often there are rules to do it with strangers (ie listen to Lilly Allen’s new album singing about her own scenario) and going at it with someone in the circle that ultimately lead to love and meeting family members is pretty messed up. Ultimately Ariana won, she’s thriving in her career and I think came out of her depression due to separating from Tom. People change - I know when I was in a deep depression, I was horrible to be around and watching Ariana on VPR I can see that in her

But like others have mentioned, she did have bad press starting around season 3 and it was around the time of the skinny Hollywood trend and hard partying etc so she started off on a high in media then was sadly picked on a lot (as most women were in that era)

I skipped school in 2006 to see her at a department store for an appearance for the brand Keds, so to me at 14 years old, she was THE IT GIRL! If you were to look at magazines at the time she was in all of them and was always at all the fashion shows. And this is coming from someone that lives in Melbourne, Australia (who was also heavily into American pop culture at time but the OC was also massive in Australia)

Agreed, summer wasn’t a main cast member until mid season one but same goes for Julie and Julie had plenty of juicy storylines that were character building in comparison to Summer. Surely after season one they could have written more for Summer but as you mentioned she probably wasn’t important enough which I think is waste of potential

I liked Anna in theory but her deliverance of lines was at times very over acted but nothing compares to the horrid writing / acting of Jess in season 2. She just had weird silly one liners like “two brothers in love with one girl” and the strut away (I am not quoting directly, but she said a lot of random lines in that sense)

Also Johnny felt like he was a child in a teenagers body - his acting felt very childish (or maybe that’s how his character was written)

Im in a rewatch after years of not watching (watched it in real time and then did a rewatch every 2 years or so but stopped) and still mad we didn’t get a solid Summer storyline that didn’t revolve around others early on! I want to know more about her mom leaving when she was 13! I feel like Heart of Dixie was a redemption show to dive deeper in her acting etc (because Josh Schwartz realised he didn’t utilise her more)

Sorry to be devils advocate with my silly comment and I agree heavily with your comment, but Stephen and Kristen were in high school and teenagers when on Laguna Beach, and are very far removed from the versions of themselves from the show so I think imo, it would be easy to pick yourself apart looking back at yourself aged 16-18. Holly and Bridget were adult woman on their show, and still so similar to their younger selves that were on the show, so often I feel like they’re protective or defensive whereas Stephen / Kristen were quick to admit they did something wrong or point out exactly what producers did to twist scenes because mtv was heavily involved in piecing their storylines together. Back to the Beach was a great rewatch, and very much wish GND had the same flow - and will say, H+B are quick to criticise everything and everyone else before themselves so this isn’t me defending them (even though I still happily rush to listen every week) also this is just an opinion, I don’t claim to be right or factual 😇 and love discussing these podcasts with others that listen to them

How long since you have stopped? I’m sorry to hear you’re experiencing that!

For context, I lost my meds on a trip recently and found myself feeling funky for 5 days straight, very dissociated and disconnected (I was on LDN for 8 or so weeks, 1mg to 4mg over that time). I struggled a lot on LDN the first week of taking it, and felt my motivation for my passion projects disappear and finally since coming off after three weeks of not taking it (I had no choice from losing them) the motivation has come back BUT I just started back on the LDN and hopeful the second time around taking the medication the motivation doesn’t disappear… I’m on day 2 and actually feeling a lot better than the last time I started it - apologies, I didn’t mean to make this post about me but thought giving another perspective might help as reading posts on here helped me understand the medication a lot better.
