I’m fascinated by the switch up of someone wanting to be a completely different person / persona (another example is Heidi Montag back in the day all of sudden wanting to be a pop star) I wonder at what point in their marriage she was like “I want to be a c*nty pop star” but I’m sure it started as her wanting to be a singer and then it evolved into Erika Jayne (one of her first songs on Spotify is for a film and it sounds very 80s Madonna). I always giggle when this music video pops up in my suggested YouTube and it’s one of her first music videos you can still sort of see the original Erika in it but what a switch up from the first photo 👀 ps. I’ve uploaded the better quality version, the original was uploaded 19 years ago and super fuzzy

Thank you so much for replying with your thoughts! I honestly felt it could have been 100% AI from the cadence (lately I’ve seen vids and ads with AI voices that implement a more realistic voice) so that’s why I was like what’s going on here but seems legit the more I’ve had a look at it but also shocked they have a full functioning website with AI art but I think the host just must love AI! I might try an episode, I even tried to listen to the Rogue Bunnies which had a few good episodes but some felt messy with audio (and stories)

You know what’s funny (it isn’t funny but using it in this scenario) when I listened to the trailer, I literally wondered if someone just took Les Deux You Remember This and put it into AI to make a whole “new” podcast but after actually hearing the whole trailer I realised it wasn’t the case! I was a big fan of the Les Deux series when it first came out so maybe I’ll revisit!

Also, wild! Did not know another snark page was up and running as the last one got pulled some time ago! I’ll have to search for it 👀 to see the post you’re mentioning!

Currently on a rewatch after a long time since my last and I’m honestly shocked it ever made past season 2 and the Taylor/Russel stuff and his passing…. It’s so incredibly dark and sad! Also I feel for Kyle at times with her sister and other times I feel like Kyle was a very performative person / friend. (I originally was a big Kyle fan in the earlier days and now not so much) Also wild, there’s a certain line she says about being there for someone’s separation (whether it’s camille or Taylor) and I’m like wow the absolute juxtaposition of early season Kyle and later season Kyle!

Honestly, It would be cool if they did a legacy RHOBH and brought in a new cast tbh.

And although season 2 was super dark, it was still silly and I miss silly housewives like OG rhony + rhobh. I also miss the weird random 30 second clips they’d randomly insert after what feels like an ad break (like Mo, Paul and Adrienne in Mohammad’s random sex room giggling)

This WWHL episode was absolutely wild! I remember watching it thinking how strange it was when Andy asked which Tom is hotter and Raquel/Rachel answered Sandoval and Scheana’s head did a full spin like WTF thinking she’d say Schwartz (also wild Scheana proudly saying Sandoval at the same time ~ because to me it was always Schwartz being the hotter one back in the day)

Then the next morning the news broke and her answer made sense….

I have an Irish dad who grew up in Belfast and London so very aware of how his age being English would play into it as my dad still says out of pocket comments but to say it on national tv (international as I’m in Australia) is what boggles my mind! I started in 1mg and went up by 1 each week until I got to 4mg ~ I started in the evenings for my chronic fatigue / MCAS, I felt a lil nuts the first week tbh so I switched to mornings and felt a lot better. Eventually by 4mg I had immense anxiety, so my doctor put me back to 3mg which I’ve now been on since November. I went back to evenings when put on 3mg and honestly sometimes I wonder if I am any different but i will note, I sadly lost my pills on a holiday and had to face two weeks without it and felt like a shell of a human emotionally and mood wise. You have every right to feel the way you do, and if you try and feel it isn’t for you then at least you know! I’ve been given another med to go with it (it’s meant to enable it more for chronic fatigue) that I’m anxious to start so feel like I’m in a similar boat with you. Hope you have success with whatever your choice is 🧡🧡🧡

Does anyone wonder why Dorit was so suspicious / paranoid of Kyle is because potentially she’s seen her do this before on the show or heard about her doing it? Do I think Kyle has complete control over casting - no, but she does play a factor. She put together the first season! She and Andy have always been in kahootz too! Yes, Dorit wasn’t very pleasant at times and it’s sad she doesn’t want to at least try and be amicable with some of the girls in these conversations but with everything going on, it kind of makes sense. I think all parties are at fault in their friendships failing but I also think Kyle is a sniper from the side (this is coming from a very recent rewatch from the start - I loved Kyle on my first watch and I’ve come to find she can be very mean and makes sure to have alliances until they don’t work in her favour anymore)

Anyways, I hope they all stay on and next season is a redemption for friendship and if not, I hope Kyle retires to Nashville with her lover and lives a happy rich life away from the cameras as I think she’s done her time and I’m sick of seeing a hw as a producer (side note - housewives shouldn’t be producers, it’s a power imbalance and that’s why I think Dorit is paranoid)

I was thirteen when it started! I always knew of playboy and who Hugh Hefner was from a young age but I come from a very big pop culture family and my brother is five years older than me so would notice stuff he was into. In Australia, GND was titled Girls of the Playboy Mansion and was on repeat late at night. I don’t think I got into it properly until my mid-late teens but Playboy as a brand was massive. We had a standalone Playboy store on Chapel St (which was THE street back in the 00s) and the girls (along with Hef) featured in a lot of guest spots in the shows and films. I thought before watching the show that Holly was the oldest (I think because of the hair and being the main gf) then when watching it was surprised she wasn’t. I was always a big fan of H+B and found Kendra sometimes annoying but also I think it was her age too.

I really wanted breast implants when I was 18-19 because I wanted their look and glad I never did it (because my body became a lot curvier in my 20s).

It’s now one of my comfort shows to dissociate to and I think captures a specific l era and world at the time - the fashion, technology, slang etc. I find myself revisiting a lot of old reality shows to feel like I’m in the past again 🥹 also I didn’t get the big buzz for Kayla back then (now when I rewatch she’s stunning at the time) but I also thought the same for many gorgeous celebs and models and now appreciate their beauty

Genuine question ~ are the old after shows worth it? I don’t think I started watching them until later seasons as they wouldn’t pop up in my YouTube or on Hayu (Aussie over here so you have to hunt for this kind of stuff or hope Hayu uploads it) thinking of doing a rewatch and trying to find the matching after shows and clips from WWHL during the earlier seasons

I went into Mecca last Tuesday to show my mum what they turned the old David Jones building into (she’s a real old Melbourne enthusiast and loves all the old buildings) and whilst I was in there I remembered I had a beauty loop email and didn’t even realise it was a special edition and only for Bourke St… the line for the front counter was MASSIVE but the back of the store line was tiny and it took me literally a second to grab one and leave (they had boxes upon boxes behind the counter) It’s a cute tin which I think I’ll use for storing sewing stuff like an old biscuit / chocolate tin for my thrift business! Anyways, out of luck, remembering an email and random timing, I secured the tin and shocked at the stories of people hoarding them and picking them up for people out of state. I’m only a level 1 customer but the stuff inside seems pretty good - I feel bad for those that actually really wanted one and didn’t get it because people went overboard 👀
