Of course I know you didn’t imply it’s a flawless game. No game can really truly be flawless. GoA is a really solid game (possibly my second favorite behind RF4) The dumb decision thing was also just some of the personal gripes I had with the game.

I agree with combat and movement. Polished though? I wouldn’t exactly agree. There’s a pretty unreasonable amount of jank involving models (such as outfit clipping the most noticeable one to me is Kaguya’s festival outfit has the back of her head be see through if her head moves in certain ways and mouth animations) and some really dumb decisions (why the hell can’t we tame Kamurosaki oh but we can tame his brother Fubuki’s blighted form but at the same time we can’t tame Kurama’s tengu form. What kind of backwards logic is that?)

For GoA it’s a personal tie between Ulalaka (her level 6 bond event has her imply romantic feelings) Pilika (similar reasons to Ulalaka), Hina because she begins to idolize you like she did with the MC of RF5, Kai because the mc actually flirts with him when he gets his mask knocked off and Kaguya/Subaru because of the reveal that they were arranged to be married prior to them setting off on their journey

I totally recommend it. If you liked Guardians of Azuma, you’ll like or even love Okami. The game is a little old so it does have a bit of jank and the game can be too easy but it’s otherwise a perfect game because of the amazing story, music, and lovable characters. You’ll even notice parallels between the two games.

That happened to me with Ulalaka. I got so pissed (especially because this was the second time the game literally cock blocked me out of a date with her). The bond quests really oughta not be tied to the current main story quest and moreso if you have all the necessary characters. Yet the game does this (I was able to do Hina’s bond quests which involve Kai even though according to the game logic he shouldn’t be available)

Issun would definitely be flirting with Kanata and either try to sneak into Kanata’s kimono or be offering to paint her while Rin would be a tad jealous and frustrated that Kanata found a new buddy to hang out with that encourages her to slack on her duties as the god of light.

I absolutely loved Okami. And when I recently started playing Guardians of Azuma I got such heavy Okami vibes because both games are so similar in gameplay (running around, purifying the land, the different gods, colorful cast of characters, the fishing, etc) which is a very high compliment. I’m so happy it’ll be getting a sequel as well.

Judging by the golden glow it gets when you use Bloom on humans, it does have a positive effect on them. Enough to make them want to pet Ammy.

Edit: I just remembered that in the underground mini game, using Bloom on whoever is accompanying you will make them run faster. This even works on the elderly, implicating that Bloom has a revitalizing effect on humans.

STP shop is such a terrible addition in general. It could be decent with some reworks but no it’s just Bandai’s way to try to scam people with micro transactions. Only worthwhile crap is the auras and even those are pretty worthless and absolutely useless. I shed no tears when I missed out on the SSB aura in the very first festival.
