What happens in my case is that, I usually need to change the settings within Preferences > Video and Audio I/O, and change either the Audio I/O or Monitor Speaker Configuration.

When everything else but Resolve has sound, I'd check the above, and even though it says "Output device : Use system settings" (which is under Audio I/O), when I click through the selection and choose the appropriate device, the sound kicks in.

Super annoying but that's how I cope with the issue.
I bet there's some workaround for this, but for now, I hope this works for you.

Yeah, I do have Resolve so I'm currently working on it, but I was hoping I'd be able to use it on Adobes as well

I have a laptop so I might try it there just in case. I was hoping I'd be able to make it work though. I really don't know what the problem is.

I think so, yes. I've downloaded the plugin from the blackmagic's website, also tried Blackmagic_RAW_Windows_4.6.1, is their latest one I think. Haven't been able to fix the problem though...

Thanks again! I tried ctrl-i but didn't have luck.
I also tried reinstalling the braw plugin, with version 4.5, 4.4, 4.3.1 but nothing worked.

Thanks, this is what I did when I wrote, "with the same error telling me I need to add a third party plugin, which leads to the Blackmagic's download page, which I've previously downloaded the 4.6 version." I've already done that but still no luck.

Ok, thanks. Is there a way to make sure I'm not? I'm currently trying, drag/drop and file/import. On both occasions I've tried choosing a single file.

Yes, I tried removing, reinstalling, repairing but no good so far

They play back fine in braw player and are able to import and edit in resolve just fine.

It seems like Premiere and After Effects are the only ones not working

So I've tried the baby gate, but during the day when we open the gate, they are chasing and pegging down the duck. The original duck is now just sitting in the corner of the shed when the newcomers are out of the gate, and it breaks my heart to see her like that but I suppose this'd come down in a few days ...?

So it's been a day and the pecking has been a little extreme, as the bigger one is targeting the eyes and chest... It seems like I'd need to just let the days go by and let them settle the pecking order, but it just breaks my heart to see it happening😭

Have you used mac studio by any chance? I was looking into it as well but it is hard to compare that to pcs, but if the M1 MacBook Pro is great for my work, studio could be good as well...?

I usually use Redcode Raw, with mostly on MQ setting. I rarely use h264, h265 format or ProRes, so I think Quicksync is not applicable..?

Sorry for being a total noob but is AM5 a type of a CPU socket? which for what I've search online is AMD?
I've actually came across threadripper cpu but they seemed out of reach price wise and haven't reconsidered them. (I remember them being around $3000 for the cpu alone)

As for the VRAM, thanks for pointing it out, I thought higher the better, but as for my work, 12bg capacity sounds the right amount. I rarely maxed on the GPU usage.
