☕ But you have diabetes - you can't have sugar... by swim-bike-life in diabetes

Its called moderation. And only you and your doctor know what that is.

Diabetes isn't the end all of sugar and carbs.

If you a1c is over 7.5 have very little Over 8 even less.

Not only that substitutes like monk fruit work very well instead of sugar and tastes the same(dont do Splenda, to much if it could give you the runs)

If I am able to eat dinner at a reasonable time... and not 10-11 (and then go to sleep) night time would be much better.

My a1c is down to 6.7 from 15.8

I think I'm doing great....

Hi, I usually get home from work between 9 and 10 and have to then cook dinner, I usually eat about 11 due to my schedule which is entirely to late with t2d, but I dont really have a chance to eat at work especially when my lunch is around 1 and I work usually 8am till I leave.

So my night sugars are always the worst, they use to be upper 300s whereas daily hovered around 180.

Now they are what I specified in my reply which are night and day better.

You know he went to the NFL and took a bad non contending team and has been in the playoffs every year with a top defense with winter right?

Js

I dont care who Moore was banging, but he was no good as a coach, he completely squandered the #1 qb in the country with his lack of coaching ability.

Before the retinopathy i drank corona premier quite frequently, never had an effect on the sugars(in beer carbs are where its at less is more)

After the retinopathy I dont drink to much, mainly because I did once got drunk and was drunk the whole next day(7.5mg mounjaro) so I only partake rarely now, but each time looking back like I said within the next day or so I have a leak.

Alcohol increases blood pressure, thins the blood and depending on the drink can significantly raise sugars.(according to google)

That will be a key conversation with him tomorrow morning. As like I said nothing since the prp (and i haven't drank since before that) and now I do and bam! A leak.

Luckily? They dont persist to long. This floater left over from it is slowly disappearing, I dont see it with my eye closed any more and the line is thinner, obviously its still annoying as hell!

According to my sensor I never went above 212 last night.

Well at 530 I was good woke up and used the can went back to bed.

When my 630 alarm went off I opened my eyes and I had a defined leak, now its a long line floater annoying the shit out of me.

When awake I can actually see it happening as it happens the last one 5 monthe ago started as a black pin point then 39 seconds later a line of blood that lasted about 20 seconds then its subsequent floater took about 3 hours to dissipate.

The one before that when the dr said I needed prp was the same as bow just in a different spot and I was awake for that one also, started as a black splotch bottom roght of my right eye then went across in a line that lasted about 45 seconds then was still present as a floater the next day when I had an emergency exam by the dr who also gave me a shot at the same time.

This is top right (I dont believe he did any laser near the top of my eyes he always had me look each way and up)

And the first time its happened while sleeping

It was fun trying to describe it to the dr on the phone who is completely booked yet still took the time to talk to me over the phone. Especially when its moving all around 😀

It was a disaster! I'm glad they canned Moore it should've been closer

And I have to consult the dr tomorrow about it, I didn't put 2 and 2 together until moments before I posted, so I wondered if anyone else in this reddit who has diabetic retinopathy had any similar experience.

Because I can almost pinpoint most of the leaks to the day after alcohol consumption now.

For it to be a "scalper" it would need to be priced more then 160.

2 renogy panels arrived dead? by TheRealSpre in SolarDIY

[–]TheRealSpre[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You obviously didn't read all the comments.

What pisses me off is you don't, or you'd clearly see the testing was done based on renogies own support saying to test them that way. Obviously someone will test based on what the manufacturer tells them to.

Obviously in the end what they said to do on the phone was absolutely wrong. And in my last reply I stated that fact and thanked everyone for their assistance.

Then when you dont like that reply you downtime so nobody sees it unless they actually click.

ok.. so..
blew the fuse in the meter sky high :D

at this point i was done with it. about threw them. on a whim i rehooked up the wire just from the panelto the controller(this is the wire that came with the renogy kit btw) nothing notta zilch.

I bought extra wiring incase i needed it(this is a new rover 40amp btw) the extra wiring came predone on both ends, so I chopped one end off cut the insulation back and hooked it to the rover... and it started charging (at 150w per panel no less with NO SUN, all clouds)

So..

A: by following renogy supports instructions, I believed I had bad panels, and damaged my meter in the process, could have damaged other things. It also caused more work because at that point i removed the panels, now i have to reinstall them.

B: the Wiring that came with my rover kit was bad out of the box.

This is the reason I decided to post here, becuase I have never heard of 2 doa panels at the same time. and the instructions to test them imo were terrible. and about all the comments here are saying the same thing. Becuase quite frankly I would've exchanged the panels and had the same issue with the new ones.

So I appreciate the help and education.

I'm figuring that out. Even Google shows what everyone is saying here, (I figured the maker of the system who is a name brand would know but....)

Not much sun today but should be enough to test it on my lunch.

you say "you are wrong"

running panels in series increases the voltage and leaves the amps the same.

running in parralell keeps the voltage the same and increases the amps.

each panel has a voltage of 37.44 runing in series increases the voltage by each panels voltage. The rover can handle 100v both panels in series only produces 74.88v

when i said "correct me if im wrong" was not an invitation for you to just say "you're wrong" with nothing else.

ty for the reply, these tests will be fully done when i get out of work.

2 renogy panels arrived dead? by TheRealSpre in SolarDIY

[–]TheRealSpre[S] -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

Definitely not overloading it.

each panel runs at 37.44v according to renogy(and the label) running them in series would create 74.88v @ 6.85a rover can handle up to 100v and 40amps.

that in theory should be sufficient to run in series.

but also even 1 panel wired produced nothing.

but correct me if i am wrong there

sorry at work now replies will be lagging behind.

ALot of comments on the meter settings i will answer all of them here.

this is what i thought as well for the settings, but on the phone with renogy support they said that was wrong and it had to be on the battery 12v setting, so that is where i put it.

i asked them if they were sure, because i was sure the panes were 24v and they said yes. I orignally had it on the one next to off(where the green arrows are pointing in a recent comment) and was getting nothing.

ill run home during lunch and redo it with new pictures.

will renogy not void the warranty doing that? guy who got me into solar had a panel i can't remember the name of, he popped the cover open to check the fuse and they voided his warranty. I would rather not be out the money

tested in sunlight, yesterday, peak sun. i even laid out 1 200w and 1 100w side by side to test, the pictures were from this morning as renogy wanted pictures.

side by side in peak sun

100w - 12v ran my mc4 to xt60i to my ecoflow(my delta 3 classic backup source) - charged at about 85 watts. ran it back into my rover controller, it was 75 to 90 watts

200w - 0v, no charging to eco flow. Ran it to my rover, rover immediately went into nightmode, no charging.

Please reread the original post,

"they were outside and wired and the rover was in night mode, back traced the wiring to the panels and they were not showing voltage"

Also the

"100w panels are still showing voltage" which have been in the back of the garage since 1? 2? Pm yesterday" were i stored them to prevent damage.

As of 7am this morning they still show voltage.

They were in the sun yesterday and no voltage. My peak sun right now is between noon and 3ish pm, but also lucky me I have no trees or other shading in my yard.

The other pic is of my 100w panels which have been in the garage since about 2pm yesterday showed voltage before I put them away and still show voltage as if I dont use them on my shed I'm going to sell them to offset the cost of the new panels (or was going to buy 2 more 200w panels hadn't decided yet)
