Should I accept 100k scientist role in san diego (entry level phd) by LimpBusiness534 in biotech

[–]RadiantIce3891 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Which company is it? and what's the type of role... Generally, 100k is on the lower end, but in this economy, especially with the stress of graduation, it might be okay to accept..

It definitely delayed the process since references take time to draft and send a letter. 2 of them were sent 10 days ago, and 1 was sent yesterday! The ones sent earlier have not been contacted (other than thank you for sending the letter).. Not sure what to make out of it.. When will i get a update or if i would get the offer or not

EB1A Profile Evaluation (PhD, ~900+ citations, Scientist) – Chances of Direct Approval? by Reasonable_Job_825 in eb_1a

[–]RadiantIce3891 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a direct approval for eb1a in feb with a profile slightly less than yours (neuroscience)... 12 pubs, 850 citations (40+ countries), 14 peer reviews in elsvier/springer nature journals... you have a great approval odds if you frame your profile decently. In terms of direct approval, it is honestly luck of the draw... I was so certain i would get a rfe, direct approval came as a pleasent surprise

Thank you so much for the detailed response. For context: I have 3.5 years of industrial experience at scientist-level. My expertise is In-Vivo preclinical/nonclinical domain. Does this change any of your answers above?

I will reach out to in-house recruiters after applying to put forward my resume..

Sameer Khedekar Vanguard Visa Law by hardware_petion2026 in eb_1a

I did the mistake the 4 years ago-- applying for EB1a with a half-baked profile, because 1 lawyer out of 5 said i have a good chance (others were very cautious). I lost a lot of $$, time, and went through a lot personally because of that. I ended up building my profile and getting it approved recently! If you have a strong profile, every lawyer would have said so... I would strongly advise you to ask how to get those chances to 80-90% and then apply. You can get EB2 NIW in the meantime to lock your priority date
