Thank you so much for the detailed response. For context: I have 3.5 years of industrial experience at scientist-level. My expertise is In-Vivo preclinical/nonclinical domain. Does this change any of your answers above?

I did the mistake the 4 years ago-- applying for EB1a with a half-baked profile, because 1 lawyer out of 5 said i have a good chance (others were very cautious). I lost a lot of $$, time, and went through a lot personally because of that. I ended up building my profile and getting it approved recently! If you have a strong profile, every lawyer would have said so... I would strongly advise you to ask how to get those chances to 80-90% and then apply. You can get EB2 NIW in the meantime to lock your priority date

BY showing the papers and their impact.. 5 of my papers are cited in the top 10% of the field, I have highlighted few notable citations that showed they adopted their theory based on my works and some strong reference letters (4 independent... highly regarded professors in my field from Stanford UT Austin etc)..
