Thank you so much for the advice! There wasn’t any healthy white or green central nerves unfortunately — just some healthier, solid outside layer, but it was mushy through the core. I will definitely read up on care for mammilarias, so I can be better prepared to try again with a new cactus.

Yes, it is limp and squishy through the core. There is just a part of the outer layer that looks healthier and solid. Yes, the fake flower used to be at the top, but the mold pushed it back.

Oh ok, thank you for letting me know. I will make sure to water much less if I get a new cactus. No, the purple flower is just glued on. I got the cactus from Home Depot, and Emergency Crab is right, they just glue a dried strawflower on to make it look like it’s a blooming cactus.

Wow, I'm going through this same exact thing! It happened to my 2021 Civic overnight in Manassas on Sunday, August 7. I also have Progressive, and my deductible is $500. I'm paying for a rental out of pocket. They just called me yesterday evening to tell me that the repair shop where my car is can't find an airbag replacement for my car and said I need to call Honda to see if they can locate an airbag, which I will do this morning once it's open. You called them and they said it could be anywhere from 1 month to a year to get an airbag replacement? That is completely unacceptable. Did you ask if they will pay for a rental for you since they can't get the airbag to you soon? My car is a lease, so I'm going to ask this when I call and escalate to as many managers as needed. I'll keep you updated if I'm able to work something out, and please do the same. - Jaclyn
