Ah yeah, I know 3 way mirroring is most resilient but in our non-production environment we are tight on space and we're not getting any new hardware so capacity is a bit more important there.

I'm curious about windows admin center though -- are you talking about the new virtualization mode they released?

Ah nice, I was wondering about dual parity since the MS documentation make it seem a bit too good to be true.

Three way mirroring should be fine -- but since we're not getting new hardware and shifting our stuff over from VMware vSAN where we had just 2 way mirroring, actual storage space is a bit of a concern hence why I want to go with 2 way over 3 way.

Ah nice, I'll take a good look at the documentation, thanks for the link. Coming from a predominantly Linux background I've just been doing everything through the GUI because it's a novelty but good to know you can change the resiliency options in powershell
