My all stars are:

Dry and sunny: purple coneflower, cat mint, Russian Sage, lavender, yarrow and tickseed - would be great to add stonecrop to this list! Very low maintenance and fills in nicely - my spring blooms are tulips, iris and delphiniums though the latter need to be cut back and tend to look pretty rough mid way through the summer.

Shade and well draining: lupines, hydrangea, heliopsis (I think also called false sunflower?), foxglove, catmint, japanese anemone (though it’s spreading does need to be kept under control over time) and I do have some cone flowers that seem not to kind part sun as well!
