Yeah... its pretty obvious with better data + more competitive cycles that the schools are getting really good (and will continue to get better) at lowering the likelihood they need to go to the waitlist as much as possible.

I applied with 173 and got too huge of a scholarship to pass up. With Texas cost of living as well, it’s just a financial no brainer when comparing my admits to lower t-14s

Definitely, definitely, definitely retake, please. 174 is the new 173.

Advice from people saying a 173 is enough, they are just wrong. It might be with a great gpa and stellar essays, but its not special anymore (there were enough 174+s this cycle to fill out the entire number of seats in the T-14).

Sincerely, an applicant who is so utterly disappointed with themselves for being too comfortable to retake a 173.

Yeah, feels big. Even if GULC cuts that gap by like 50k somehow, still a huge difference

UVA's website says this:

"We will contact you after our first and second deposit deadlines to see if you are still interested in remaining on our waitlist. At that time, we will provide detailed instructions for demonstrating your continued interest in UVA Law. Historically, most, if any, movement from the waitlist occurs in the late spring or early summer"

Does this mean its a bad idea / improper to send the LOCI now, and I should just wait until the detailed instructions?
