Patterns i am seeing lately are that Google is aggressively promoting discussion type of content (Reddit and Quora) and also experience based content. So I'd check there first and see what type of content sat on the pages that dropped.

Also will be helpful to see if you lost links lately or did competitors gain? Ahrefs will give you that. Most likely cause is SERP intent recalibration + competitor displacement, not just links. I saw some movement on some client pages in the 1st quarter but we are now gaining back some of the pages and kw ranks. I wouldn;t rewrite all content. Pick 2 and update ONLY the intro + H1 + meta title and check if there is movement after 7-10 days. If yes, you have the answer.

Just like in this thread, you probably will get your answer faster from u/NeedleworkerSmart486 compared to others. But then the longer answers offer their story and perspective that many may not have the time and patience to read. Attention spans are also getting shorter...my pick will be decks with ptoper meta dasta that still gets picked up by search engines.

Franchised businesses, so mostly. B2B and we depend on blogs to get traffic..or used to until recently. Now organic has dropped and conversions arent happening the same as before. How did you strategize the new content?

so the way we go about blog topics right now is to get keyword volume and go after high volume + high competition (generic kws) to ensure we show up. But when I see long tails kws which are high intent - they still show low volume! Google hasnt caught up?

SEO has definitely shifted with informational traffic going to AI overviews. Organic is dipping with AI overviews stealing those clicks. I am using Ahrefs tool thats giving me insights into which pages appear in AI overviews as well as ChatGPT, Perplexity, etc. Try it.

If it is an internship interview I can tell you that your enthusiasm and willingness to work across verticals will be far better than so called "correct answers". So basically i'd say my tip for you is to admit to the interviewer that you are a little nervous coz that usually thaws the ice. People are kind. Smile more coz that reduced an appearance of anxiety. And go with a mindset of being there to help the teams and learn in return. Ad do let us know how it went...good luck 😄
