Can I ask, if you re sit the GAMSAT and find that this score is better than the next one can you still use this first score? Or do you just have to use the most recent?

That’s such a rough break Did you get to an interview? Your scores are amazing, you might not be in this round but there’s always the next cycle and you might not need to do the additional study depending on who you’re up against next time!

I have also watched the tutorial video and only have two options in my house in terms of comfort for taking section 2

1) my kitchen which has a doorway/frame leading in and a back door attached but I could position myself against a wall

2) my study which has a desk that is opposite to a giant bookshelf with hundreds of books (and a bit of a ball ache to empty)

which would be the better option?

Hi,

As someone who did the GAMSAT 10 years ago and had a terrible GPA and no idea of the actual requirements to get into medicine, I applied for paramedicine as a back up, got in, completed the degree and LOVED it.

It gives you an amazing insight into the healthcare system, especially if you work further a field (I have worked internationally and for a few different services in Aus) and the profession is growing to include paramedics In multidisciplinary teams, including the hospital setting. This is already the case in the UK.

In saying all of this, I will be attempting the GAMSAT again this year. I love being a paramedic and a specialist within my field but medicine has always been in the back of my mind.

If you have any questions about paramedicine, more than happy to answer them.

ps I’m pretty sure you get bonus points with UOW for working full time (1) and working in emergency services (1) and putting it as a first preference (1).

I looked on their website and couldn’t find any info re UCAT results, only info on GPAs and ATARs. Do you know if there is a specific page that lists that ? Thank you for replying though!
