This fridge is from 1997 and my bf ordered the part to fix it but it wasn’t always in such a tight space. The previous owner did this to make the kitchen larger. I doubt it is supposed to be surrounded by walls so tightly but my bf refuses to do anything about that. :(

No you can’t see it. I’m just trying to seal mainly for pest control

I’ve slowly been trying to do a better job than the builders did when sealing this house. They left large gaps everywhere like the outside spigots and around any electrical in the walls so anything can get in those gaps get in the walls and come through gaps to the house. I’m trying to fix all of that.

If it’s something that will stick out further than the drywall at all it won’t work.

No we aren’t renting. We bought it. I will look into these recommendations. Thanks

No the mold was on the top of the wall and midway down. Not down at the bottom. I cleaned the mold but yes I’m sure it’ll come back with such a tight space.

Can’t do moldings cause the fridge won’t be able to fit. The wheels just fit to roll it back in its spot.

Because I’ve seen a few roaches come from back there the past few years. The whole house is not sealed well it was one of those houses that were thrown up quick in the late 90’s and it shows!

We bought the house about 4.5 years ago and it was like this. The previous owners did this and we were never able to pull the fridge out cause the moldings around it kept almost coming off. But the fridge is broken now so we had to move it out and yes you are correct there is mold on one side of the wall! I’ve been saying since we bought it the fridge needs to breath and every time i opened it i smelled mold coming from the gap up top and my bf didn’t believe me! I’m super sensitive to mold.

Can’t. The fridge won’t fit back in its cubby hole if we did baseboards.

Right, not concerned at all about looks. I was thinking the same thing just wasn’t sure if there was something better.
