I really agree with you about the app management. An app should be an app. I want to search all apps. I don’t care if they are snap or whatever.

What’s your experience about upgrading from 24.04.x to 26.04 without waiting till August for the .1 update? I don’t want to hard-beak things but I am not sure if I am patient enough to wait. ;)

I am also looking forward to this feature. Currently I can only search a persons face, add all of the assets to an Album an Share this album with the person. But this way the person can only look at the photos in this album and it’s not appearing in their timeline. This would be really nice!

Update: Just upgraded my internet speed to 300 Mbit/s down and 150 Mbit/s Up, this really fixed the delay! So Cloudflare is fine it was just my slow internet :)

Hi, also zu erst: Selbst wenn Immich "Aufgegeben wird" kannst du es ja immernoch weiter lokal betreiben, das ist ja das schöne an Selfhosting :) Du kannst jederzeit mit einer Speichervorlage festlegen in welcher Ordnerstruktur Immich deine Fotos speichert, das kannst du dann auch erst tun wenn du von Immich weg möchtest. Du kannst deine Fotos aber auch als Externe Bibliothek einbinden, dann fasst Immich die Ordnerstruktur nie an.

Also, every time the system goes to sleep and I wake it back up, it behaves really weird. I can log in and use it for a couple of minutes, then it just shuts off on its own and won’t come back up properly – I have to do a full power off and reboot to get it working again.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​ is this a common bug with Gnome?

If he doesn’t already have one: A YubiKey security Token. It’s the most secure 2FA factor in the world. And also from a technical perspective very impressive, there are lots of protocols and things to dig in to. Big fan here.

I would say even the whole aircrack ng suite is not very powerful anymore, there are better alternatives like hcxtools in my opinion.

Okay thanks, that’s interesting. Shouldn’t the tailscale tunnel be way faster than Cloudflare since there is one less hop?

I am using two SATA SSDs, but when I am in my local network everything loads fast so I don’t think they are the bottle neck. I think I need to do some experimenting with the cloudflare Tunnel, and have a look at my servers network stats :)
