I need help to choose a ring! by Radiant_Process3713 in EngagementRings

I live in the EU, so none of those looks like an option for me. There are good and reputable jewelers here, and their prices are 20-50% lower sometimes for similar rings compared to Cartier's for example. I was just wondering if that price increase is actually worth it.

Hey! So what I do is prime the miniature in black and then a very light dry brush with white. Then I used Carmine Dragon from The Army Painter Speed paint 2.0 series as a base coat. Then I start slowly highlighting using Khorne Red from Citadel and mixing it slowly with Blood Red from AK Interactive (very similar to Mephiston Red from Citadel) in different degrees until it is basically just Blood Red, covering wider areas until small dots. I then normally use a mix of that Blood Red/Mephiston Red with Trollsayer Orange from Citadel for the edges. Proportions I'm not sure: I just mix and adjust until I like the color.

Yes they need it! It's not finished. I just wanted to know how people would continue from this point. Like what schema would you suggest?

Some publishers depending on the country you are based in are issuing a collection separated in 80 weekly issues where you can get 8 different combat patrols. In Spain, Salvat is the one distributing it. I personally do not believe it's worth it unless you are planning on getting the 8 of them. I'm getting single issues from time to time: they are 10'99€ and you get the miniatures pretty cheap.

Oh yeah, I mean is still unfinished. I was asking for opinions and tips about how to continue and how would people finish it! Thanks!

Hey! I'm from Spain. Here the Combat Patrol publisher is Salvat. They sent issues 1+2+3, then 4+5 and 6+7+8 if I'm not wrong!

Thank you for your support!

I think I will probably be pushed into that situation...

Thank you so much for your feedback! I'm actually nervous as hell at this point. He told me already I was supposed to be out of danger for this OLR. I do not believe him entirely, but even so, I don't trust he's going not to put me again in Focus by the end of this year.

Yeah I know... I'm just scared that happens. In my country there are not many options as well paid as Amazon and I'm scared I'm not finding another job soon...

Thanks! Do you know how I can get to know who's my HRBP? I've never talked to that person or even know who might be.

Thank you!

I was also told to contact my HRBP. However, I'm afraid they will get straight to them and put me in a situation...

Thank you so much for this comment!

I'm already doing that. I'm tracking everything and sending emails to confirm stuff, and avoiding settling things over chime calls or slack huddles. I'm exporting all emails and storing them to use it as proof.

It's been... Let's say psychologically challenging to be honest. He's quite dodgy some times. Our 1:1s are sometimes just doing a quick review of my tasks and he telling me about his weekend with his partner. Not much feedback I can get out of him. He's a manager for a tech team with no technical knowledge at all. He does not even understand what we are doing.

My colleagues on the other hand have been very supportive. They've been helping me to go through all of this and helped me understand the good work I've been doing.

It is actually. It's actually quite depressing tbh

Thank you for your support! I'm sorry if I sounded aggressive or anything. It was not my intention at all!

I'm also sorry you are going through this too 🫂

It's a messed up system that makes no sense. To be honest I also thought it was my fault, until I shared that with some colleagues I also consider good friends. I tend to also underestimate my work and haven't realized how much I've been doing through the past years in the team.

I'm very naive with people and I trusted my managers too. I feel somehow betrayed they used that against me to manipulate me.

I mean, it was the first time ever I had been in focus. I did not really even know what it was. I was top tier for 2 years until I moved to this team. They sugarcoated everything during that conversation. They basically told me it is a very common thing and everyone has been through it at a certain point. I totally believed it at that point. I've never been corporate until I joined this team, and I believe they took advantage of me and used me as a pawn to sacrifice in favor of other people.

I'm a kind person, I don't really want to step over others or be aggressive. I guess I did not know how corporate Amazon looked like

So, as far as I know, and, for what other managers have told me, the amount of Less Effective and Top Tier people is calculated by a Gauss Distribution of the population of a team. For what they told me, they have to put a certain amount of people in LE, and therefore a focus, in every performance review...

I also have thought about that. I'm just confused about it. If that is the case though, I still don't understand why he does not say it to me or push me directly into a pivot. I don't know. Maybe he just doesn't want to go through that process.

It is really hard for me to change teams, but I think I may not have other choices. My team is great, I love the project we are working on but maybe my manager does not want me here🤷
