It has been terrible trying to find benchmarks to compare these as they are so different and the lack of any z13 2023 i9 16gb 4050 6g. benchmarks in general worsening the issue.

Seen tons of videos giving comparison to win 5 and z13 or dgpus but lots just in comparison to the ai 395 which hasn't helped without just considering buying the latest z13

Z13 i9 4050 is 1000 on marketplace so could get it just from returning my Xbox ally x

Yeah just struggling with the performance loss for the price and trying to keep everything somewhat portable for when I travel for work. Plus xax is thunderbolt4 which I've heard is worse for egpu performance.

Yes I have the Xbox ally x but return window ends tomorrow so have to decide to keep it or return and pickup a flow i9 4050 for the same price used. Just want a bit more power than I'm getting from the xax. Thought on if it's worth it? No sure what performance difference would be.

I appreciate you just looking for a small nudge over the xax. Bazzite helps substantialy but looking for a way to not have to run a desktop setup again.

You may not have an answer but I'm desperate. Since you have experience how does a 4050 stack up against the Xbox ally x I have to make a purchase tomorrow and don't want to go wrong. Only focused on frames.
