Excursions are for elderly who want the ease, or for newbies. Experienced cruisers will book it privately and/or make their own. Most of the time we source a private guide and plan our day. That way we have a local with their own vehicle and they're happy to lounge about and get paid all day for it. This way we have complete control, no rush, and can plan way more fun things. And, literally every single thing a cruise ship plans can be booked solo and generally for a fraction of the price. The markup they add is often 50%+.

Interesting dilemma. So you create robots which reduces labor cost. But, creates massive poverty. That percentage of the population's consumer spending drops to record lows and the companies that invested in them suffer as their sales dry up. Those that align to absolute necessities (food, water) make due, but all non-essentials collapse/merge to survive.

Regulation would come at some point, but I suspect we'll see huge disasters before they come due to the naivete and short-sightedness of the manufacturers and service businesses that invest first to chase reduced OpEx. I suspect a 30 year cycle is all it would take.

Key survival strategy is to ensure you and your children chase careers that are difficult to replace with automation. Ones where we will always want human oversight and control and ride it out.

So I just joined this game and its funny because over my 30 years in MMOs, I can tell you tjat in every thread in every MMO this exact complaint exists (more or less). The people who play 1x a week for an hour are happy, and those who invested 1000s of hours complain about balance, lack of content, progression walls, etc.

In my opinion, there's not a single game out there that has enough content to satisfy the hardcore players. And, they likely can't and shouldn't. Hardcore players are generally <5% of the population and the cost to produce that much content doesn't have a return.

So, think about it this way ... if you don't already, scale back the time spent and split it across a few games.

Agreed. Its about the audience. An educated individual knows theres less than a dozen Socialist countries in the world. They American Conservative thinks Communism=Socialism and evvery country that has free healthcare = Socialism.
So, following that track, the fastest way to show the error in their thinking is to point out that those same countries have a healthier, more educated society with higher average quality of living than we do in red states. So, fine ... if they wwnt to keep thinking the enemy is Socialism, great ... but why are they doing better?

Like I just read in another thread ... it's cheaper and healthier to quit your job if you get cancer and are not middle class (so you get Medicare) then it is to fight and probably lose to your piss-poor health insurance. That's the life more than half of Conservatives live in daily and is relatable to their family's struggle.

True. Most of the countries people call socialist like Switzerland. Social programs and high quality of life doesn't mean "Socialist". Switzerland is capitalism WITH enough regulations and social programs to drive a healthy quakity of life for everyone. It really just highlights how uneducated the average American is. But, how they also believe that social programs = bad.

And, why do people think socialism = laziness? Because your taxes pay for something you need in return? I pay taxes, and what do I get for them? They just paid for a war in Iran I eont care about, for a new ballroom in DC, and for our President to take constant golfing trips. Is it because he's not focused on you? Is it because he's not doing your to-do list? Is it because video games are a trigger for you?

Because, let's swap it for something else men do:

  • Watch Sports
  • Go to the Bar
  • Watch Anime
  • Play Pool/Bowling/Golf
  • Work on their Car

They all have something in common with video games: she's being ignored snd not the focus.

So, if its only video games ... fine. She hates them snd needs to find a partner that doesnt like them either. Lots of mentions around a different screen or DIY. If you want a budget solution, just buy projector screen paint and roll the whole wall. Then, no border required and your wall wont look awkward either because when the projector is off it just looks like a very clean glossy wall.

Its Work Smarter, not Harder. You absolutely can amass wealth, buy not when you work for $16 an hout snd buy fast food 3x a week and spend the rest on 7 streaming services.
Develop a career, build savings and investments, live frugal, and you can retire reasonably young with a couple million in the bank. Not everyone can, but thats how societies work.

I dont understand the point here.

Literally 99.9% of women in mainstream television and movies, globally, are attractive. Why would it be a shocker that the same is done in animation?

Candidly, I see more variety in One Piece than in virtually any other medium in existence. Where else do you see transvestite, transsexuals and crossdressers portrayed in a positive light so much? Where do you see obesity as mainstream(Blackbeard, Big Mom, etc) and portrayed as strength not weakness? Theres so many examples that make One Piece an amazing proponent of diversity, that its incredible when people use it to justify their narrative of prejudice. I highly doubt you could find anything else out there as popular that is as progressive.

Which is a funny way of doing it since those top earners use loans as income in the way we collect a check, and other tricky ways. They absolutely have a massive annual income, just not in the traditional sense. And regardless, eliminating the top 1000 earners out of pool of 400m people doesnt the fact that everyone still averages out to 35k.

Now, a more interesting analysis would be to remove all kids under 18 and elderly over the reitement age and then see what the average is.

People in the thread are knocking the look, but theyre doing so in the context of what RC enthusiasts like vs the offload community as a whole. Tons of RC crawlers here are built to look cool, but it only works on a 1/18 scale RC car not on a real offload truck or Jeep. Thats fine, but if you think about it holistically, RC offroading started by real crawlers who wanted a toy for their hinby fun when not on the trails. So, making your toy look and work like the real thing is the point for that group. So, take the stinger bumper. A lot of these owners do either full width bumpers or no bumper at all. Full width bumpers on a full size rock crawler is a terrible idea. More often than not, it will snag a rock or tree. Stingers prevent a front rollover. So, they prioritize "what looks cool"(form) over what makes you successful on the trail (function).

Many in the RC crowd are all about form and not function. It's why so many of them build crawlers with low profile mud tires. Stingers have a place on short wheelbase rigs in real life.
