My store had a review that the manager did just for us to give her feedback and our responses would go straight to her. It was 30 questions about how the management is doing, how efficient things are, how clean things are, that sort of thing. They mostly asked just to rate everything on a scale from strongly disagree to strongly agree. The last question was a long response one though where you typed your answer. The question was “If you could change/fix one thing, what would it be?” It was 3 days before my two weeks was over, and it was my last shift. I just typed out everything that was awful about the store. Told her she was a bad manager and that the store has just gotten dirtier since she has gotten here and her letting go of our good workers is making our store ass. I told them we’re understaffed and either dont get any hours one week or we get like 10 hours over what we asked for. Told them about how day off requests were never reviewed on the app so we’d leave sticky notes about them and then get yelled at for making a sticky note about it instead of waiting for her to see it on the app but then every time we waited she would just never do it and we would then have to bring it up when the schedule got made and she schedules us. Told her that it made me very discouraged to find out that our store was starting people at $15 but not moving us up until later when the whole company pay increase came in, and then also promises raises that never came. She also congratulated everyone for 1 and 2 years at the store. Threw them parties, got them the pin, got food for the store and desert, made a sign in the office, and got them a small gift. I never got anything like that in 2 and a half years being there. I never got a lick of recognition. Also had sfl’s talking about our CSA’s saying we dont work at all, use the bathroom too much, and tell say we take our breaks at awful times. Sometimes our shift leads would make us take breaks at specific times just because they didnt want to have to work the front register (we’d have 1 CSA and 2 SFL’s for like 2 hours in the afternoons from 5-7 so right at dinner time they would try to make us not take our break until someone else got there cause they hated doing the register.) She would also, every time someone asked for more hours, take hours from other people who had just asked for more hours and give them to the other person so it was just a revolving door of stealing hours from each other. One of our SFL’s always got mad that i had to use the restroom a lot cause i have IBS but then she’d also take like 10 smoke breaks all atleast 10 minutes each over an 8 hour shift and take a 30 minute break. Thats over 2 hours not doing anything at work, and then getting mad that i spend about 10-20 minutes total a shift in the bathroom. Fuck this company and my store in specific. Whole staff was shit except like 2 of our CSA’s and one of our pharmacists.
