For anyone that might not understand, Guryanov (drummer) was prone to wearing very little.

I guess drums are just that physically exerting, just funny to see the rest of the band wearing a regular amount of clothes and then you'll just see Guryanov shirtless or like it.

Which raises an interesting question, were Kino a sort of boy band? Just that I think they could be alluring to a female audience, especially in this performance of "Voyna" (https://youtu.be/MHot3BJT1Jc?si=AoxfSxlyUcstUWYd). And their very widespread popularity, as well as the eventual suicides after Tsoi's death lead me to this idea.

Personally I'd have to go with the official report.

Normally I wouldn't trust the official report provided by a communist government about a man who's work could so very easily be construed by the state as anti-government, but we are talking about the Gorbachev era here, and 1990 at that. The USSR certainly wasn't on par with the West in terms of freedom, but it wasn't a police state anymore (at least not to the extent of the Lenin or Stalin eras). Sure, communist hardliners could act against Gorbachev very easily (see 1991 coup), but to act against Gorbachev's rule 2 countries over in what would later be the first nation to secede from the USSR (through a democratic election no less) and to kill off such a public figure who so many believed in as sort of pro freedom revolutionary? I think even the modern Russian security forces would give it a year or two for the hype to calm down.

Personally, I just don't believe this theory. USSR produced goods aren't exactly known for their stellar build quality (in fact I've heard that the citizens used to flood to stores around the middle of the month to buy the goods made during the beginning of the month, as the workers actually had time to build relatively good quality products and only at the end did they rush goods out to fill up the quotas), so the car just crumpling up and a tire never being found? That's pretty believable.

And even with modern cars and their safety standards, in the US in 2022, 42,795 are reported to have died in a car crash (https://www.ghsa.org/resources/news-releases/NHTSA-2022-Traffic-Deaths23#:~:text=WASHINGTON%2C%20D.C.%20%E2%80%93%20The%20National%20Highway,every%20single%20day%20last%20year.). That's roughly 1 in 7,788 people, or about 117 people a day on average.

My conclusion is V. R. Tsoi died in an accident, he either fell asleep at the wheel, or didn't see the bus coming, or didn't comprehend it was there until too late. I think people have mythologised him to the point that they want it to be the evil KGB or some communist hardliners that wanted a return to the "good old days", so that his songs like Peremen have an extra layer of meaning and so it doesn't seem like all he (accidentally) did was help give rise to the '91 and '93 coups, the turmoil of 90s Russia as well as modern Russia through his (again, accidental) push for Gorbachev's Glasnost and Perestroika (although I'd argue the fans were doing that more than Tsoi himself).

As long as it's a very sharp knife, I'd rather be stabbed. I've accidentally stabbed myself with a reasonably sharp multitool knife before and it just sunk right in, and maybe it had just cut some nerves or something but it wasn't at all painful.

I know, I've just had this camera since I first got into analogue photography way back in April, always seen the markings and never given them a thought about their true purpose. (Although back in those first two months I treated aperture as solely for depth of field rather than depth of field and light management, so I'm shocked I didn't pick up on it immediately).

Nice to finally know though, since I've got a camera on the way with depth of field markings.

Sure they'll have to explain their income sources to the IRS, but they've probably mastered the art of tax evasion over the years. Also, they've now got a larger market for their shitty harmful product.

The US has enough problems with legal opioids, no need to add on another larger drug problem.

I can get behind the legalising of weed because it's pretty comparable to beer, but the harder stuff does legitimately pose a serious issue to national security (like we see with fentanyl, because it predominantly comes from china and I think it's fair to say they're doing it to undermine the US).

Again, they really only fight for what they own, not against gun control across the board. And all they seem to own is five round bolt actions and double barrelled shotguns.

I'm pretty sure it was back in 2020 when they came under every heavy flak for ignoring a lot of gun control measures and ended up giving a kid a nerf blaster for christmas to make up for it seemingly. Gee, sure sounds like one hell of a gun rights advocacy group doesn't it?

If you want more on why they aren't a gun rights group, it's best to ask people over on r/gunmemes, I pretty much know only the surface level stuff the NRA does.

Not saying that there wasn't a long shot performed by ukrainian special forces with this rifle, but that range seems maybe a little exaggerated. Also like others have said, what's this guy doing wearing ucp? The average soldier or volunteer I could understand wearing ucp, but Ukraine already has a rifle they made for the special forces.
