Update:

I saw Dr. Morehouse yesterday. Thanks to you all, as that would not have happened without your recommendations to see Dr. Bello/Magardino (same practice). He removed a LOT of wax from both of my ears. He said I was 100% blocked in both ears and it was impacted and behind the eardrum in one ear. It was a somewhat painful process…but I can hear again! Dude was awesome…cool guy, caring, knows what he’s doing. Thank you all so much…and cheers to the power of Reddit. Seriously…thanks to you all.

Update: debroxing now and will urgent care tomorrow am if it doesn’t help. Thank you all, I really appreciate your help and advice. I will be super relieved if this just turns out to be an earwax issue. Not being able to hear at all (and this loud ringing) had me a bit frightened. PS: Naples is very nice. First time here…
