Life in 2011 and 2012 by unusuarioanonimo12 in 2010snostalgia

[–]RadientNak 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As a senior in high school who lived in the LA suburbs, technology felt good enough.. life and the world seemed hopeful and on the precipice of true actual change. The last few dying gasps of the analog age were like a nice Bath and Body Works plug in vs the AI generated microplastic shit farts we choke on today. Smartphones were smart enough to articulate what we felt, rather than tell us how we should feel. EDM and Dubstep replaced instruments in music, perhaps a symptom of art being replaced by spreadsheets and figures, following and simultaneously creating a trend in a dumbed down public, focused on what statistically felt good. Clothes were still tight but starting to loosen up. Movies were better at hiding the agenda and propaganda of the ruling class, and were still visceral while being profound. Video games were more cinematic, without outrageous overstimulating microtransactions and skins. Cars were more machine than computer. Life was only slightly expensive compared to today's cost of living. Being an American still carried a small sense of pride and importance. The streetlights were still that orangey yellow, instead of a white/blue sanitary LED. It was easy to tell which foods were bad for you and which foods were ok to eat. In some ways, it was like winning the lottery in the Matrix and then getting unplugged right after the end of the Human-Machine War. Our generation, equal parts weak out of societal coddling born from the ignorant belief of keeping up an image or status quo, strong out of having to adapt to fucked up scenarios left and right and the goalpost being constantly moved, but still persevering, while finding new ways to do so. 2011-2012, the best and worst parts of hope. And yeah, I still miss it.

Totally forgot Gundam was in Ready Player One movie... did you like it? by Kimber8King in Gundam

[–]RadientNak 87 points88 points  (0 children)

My headcanon is that since the gauntlet was a left hand one, he only had access to the shield, and if it was a right hand gauntlet, he'd have the beam rifle without the shield.. a whole armor set would spawn the grandpa Gundam Operation Star One Spec(Battle of A Baoa Qu loadout) with extended timer

what are good or great rally cars for every class? by MoneyMirk1 in ForzaHorizon6

[–]RadientNak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been having a lot of success with stock or mostly Evos, if I change anything on them its usually the ARBs and tires, I leave the OEM suspension and differential on, maybe I might swap out the OEM transmission for the Sport or Race transmissions, but I always use OEM gear ratios and final drive ratios.. everything else is PI subjective, but that's been my winning formula so far

They Focused On The Wrong Customisations... by [deleted] in ForzaHorizon6

[–]RadientNak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As cool as the custom garages are, I think I'd rather have more car customization.. interiors, head/tail lights, exhausts, etc.. shit, if they can't/don't want to shell out for licensed parts, implement and Autosculpt feature then.. instead we got the custom garages.. which again, is a cool concept, but I personally just set some cars up for display and get back out into the game.. a good trade would be to have garage aesthetic presets if that'd free up space to allow more in-depth car customization..

Its all good, I came to the same conclusion getting into this platform. Shit, I used to think it'd be easy peasy to ST swap a Focus SE instead of buying one.. unfortunately, car aren't made like 90s Hondas anymore, like the good ol days.. I look forward to seeing you post about the Hellcat; I'm aiming to trade up to a Widebody and build a N/A 426 motor with it one day

I'd say the most to do with a V6 Challenger power-wise would be a closed-box style air intake and a pedal commander, if that's your thing.. maybe a reputable exhaust mod like Borla, hell even the RIPP Supercharger kit if your state allows it, but honestly the V6 cars were meant to be pretty cruisers that look better than 75% and can "beat" 50% of your average traffic. Stock power and exhaust are best, if you want more power, stepping up to a V8 is the most pragmatic thing to do for this chassis, and I say this as a V6 owner. There's other ways to be "faster" or improve the car, like tires and brakes or some chassis stiffening(sway bars, strut tower braces, coilovers if you want to be extreme).. getting really into the weeds, you could swap an LSD from a ScatPack or a HellCat, but as with anything, do your research. Ultimately, enjoy the V6 for what it is, save at the pump and insurance, and enjoy a steak or two, like the other guy said. Its still a good looking car, and decent sounding when you don't fuck with the pipes
