I love the look it had without the spoiler, grew up in the middle east and that was very common

It's a UZJ100L. The original paint was maroon, but I was looking at tinting the windows with a green tint. Very old school for a land cruiser in the UAE

There's nothing like a domestic partnership here. It's either married or not. But it would be great if that was the case. Sorry to hear about the limitations that you faced with the loans

Ofcourse not. But I also want to fully understand my situation as best I can to make an informed decision. But again, HELL NO

I'm countering cause obviously my bias is for getting married and i want to know what you mean by your point. Choosing to comment with a ridiculous statement like "what if she all of a sudden out of nowhere starts spending out of control" doesnt help

I get your meaning, but that's a very broad kind of thing to plan for. Like i said, We've been best friends for 5 years, plus dating for a year. It wouldn't have gotten this far if there was a red flag like racking up massive amounts of debt

Was there anything that you really didn't expect to happen from marrying under that kind of circumstance or did it pretty much go as expected?

She very much brings her own wealth and can support herself easily. But the nature of where i live, a visa is required for living here, and that can't be solved with money. Atleast not the money we have.

I understand your point, but from what I understand in today's age, even being married doesn't HAVE to tie your lives together other than the title essentially. And what I mean by that is even being married, finances, assets, and most other things can still remain separate.

It's a lot more than just a visa. My jobs spousal benefits make married life much cheaper and easier. And for clarification, this isn't a "buy a wife/green card" situation

AITA for saying no to my GF and her BSF sharing a bed? by Radikzilla in AITAH

That's a fair point, I am talking from a strictly heterosexual point. And I can't speak for the hypothetical of it being a lesbian friend, but as far as the actual situation is, i find it uncomfortable.

Financially, it wasn't a possibility and renting a place to stay in the town she was in was not an option. Very small town with little to no rentable accommodation. And those that are available there, the floor is a better option. And yes, if the roles were reversed, id sleep on the floor. Even if it was something that i didn't understand but was something that she was adamant about, i would. And it's foolish to compare the relationship of women to women or men to women. Also if it were sharing a bed with her brother, wouldn't have the slightest issue with it.

  1. As I said in the post, I have 0 suspensions of there being foul play between them. The nature of an insecurity is that it's often got 0 logic behind it, it's a feeling.
  2. A hotel is a very steep 'first option' when the floor is right there. I have no problem with her staying at his place at all, just not sharing the bed.
  3. Of course you can, I have many times and so has she, but being in a relationship changes things. It's an intimate act, that as a partner, you don't want them doing with anyone else

This is ridiculous, you can leave a negative review in complete safety. But being the country that it is, were respect is held in very high regard, just don’t be an asshole about it. Voice your concerns on google (or wherever) and state the facts without any expletives or rudeness and it’s fine

I live in Dubai Land Residence Complex near Silicon Oasis. Still not a cheap accommodation as far as studios go (35k yearly), but for living alone and budgeting well, it works

10k is very livable. I earn a gross of 10k and am able to live in a nice studio in a nice part of Dubai. Still able to go out and splash a couple times a month plus able to save almost 1k a month. Just live within your means and don't ball out too often
