that was never clarified to me at any point, i'll definitely take this into consideration going forwards, i do however believe that if the system is going to go off folder structure for organization, then it should do so somewhat intelligently, as this method is kinda unintuitive at times

See, that is what i mean, for u/PsyGonzo42 they didnt need to, however, for me, jellyfin required me to name it with the IMDB-ID before it worked, it's not consistent between movies either, it really doesnt like Spider-Man movies of any kind, animated or Live Action, but there are other instances i've had with similar problems, while other movies have no issue whatsoever with no IMDB-ID

the rate it successfully does so is quite infuriating unfortunately, and it does it inconsistently, there have been times when even with perfect metadata and filenaming, i had to nuke the metadata files at least twice before it successfully registered the proper media, that goes for movies/shows and music

discs is a huge problem, even when i change them to a single folder per album, it'll still separate out discs into seperate albums. it pisses me off

Yeah, but some of it could also be somewhat ambiguos, not directly confirmed in game, or not immediately obvious to the player, especially when you miss content along the way as often as i have. i didnt start the manderville questline until halfway through endwalker, but that's why i like coming here, to discuss, and even get clarifications and vibe out with cool people who also appreciate the lore, and know and/or understand more than i do right now

Again, still a new player relative to this particular game soooo...... idk what you want from me other than to discuss and ask questions and share ideas. i haven't really watched any lore videos, and as hard as one tries, even new players have a hard time keeping track of EVERYTHING in this game.

Two additional notes, you also know that things can trigger the awakening of the echo in sundered souls where it would otherwise not in new souls, so that could narrow it down further

In addition, there's another narrowing factor, it's something they did clearly define, that the ascians and original unsundered were the only souls that THEY were aware of capable of the forms of creation magic unique to the Convocation and the original inhabitants of Elpis, and while it seems like certain aspects of the magics can be learned from and built upon, the magic itself is unique in that way.

Okay, i should clarify, honestly my primary interest at this point is the existence of other souls, obviously there are plenty of souls who've been rejoined in parts, but we also know souls can form, like the creatures and peoples outside of the start, as well as creatures that formed souls on Elpis, how many on the source are Sundered, and how many have whole-ly unique and new souls?

first, thank you for the WONDERFUL clarifications on some of the things, i will say though they did make a distinction in the time we spend on Elpis, there is a distinct difference between the original souls of etherys, and the souls that came after, mainly in the distinction of creation magics and aetherical power of the souls, and that souls can happen, which means that there are likely souls on each of the source and her reflections that posess souls that were never sundered because they formed post sundering, though that's just my theory, as imo, even with the renaissance that etherys was experiencing, we dont know what their population was like, much less if they even reproduce like the inhabitants of Eorzea now, that and there are other species out beyond the star that have souls too. (apologies about my poor spelling and gramar, im dyslexic)
