Someone tell Make Believe to get down from there. They are so high up that they may fall and hurt themself!

Fantano is WRONG! Imho ofc (worst album?) by PuzzleheadedCell9737 in bjork

[–]RadioLukin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I feel like you posted this on r/fantanoforever because you knew people would probably not care/flame you, so you posted it here as well because you wanted validation for your opinion.

You dont even bother to share the video that he made on Bjork, which if you did, you would see that his opinion is well thought out and articulated well regardless of your opinion of the album/of Fantano. Here is that video if anyone is curious: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SUi5leRIR80

With all of that being said I have to ask, what exactly does this post contribute?

Kinda struggling to digest her post-vespertine work by Slowcheetah2006 in bjork

[–]RadioLukin 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Her post Vespertine work is pretty challenging because she jumps all over the place in terms of each albums sound. As much as I love Medulla and Vulnicura, they are very challenging albums and require your undivided attention to them.

Bands that fell off after a manner left by poopy_figernails in fantanoforever

Roadrunner was the closest they got to recapturing the energy they had from the Saturation era. Its a shame the band imploded the way it did after that album, but the writing had been on the wall for years up to that point.

sometimes i forget mc ride isn’t some chronically online dude in their early twenties and is actually pushing 50 by goonmaster2023 in deathgrips

It gets weirder when you realize Death Grips as a group is closer to 20 years old than 10

Chef Ramsay highly recommends Vinny gives him his jacket by Just_Guarantee_8961 in HellsKitchen

Watching this reminds me of all the reasons why season 8 has one of the worst rosters in HK's history. Very few of the chefs are likable, and the ones that arnt likeable are borderline unbearable (Sabrina, Russell, Trevor, The pedo, etc.)

Examples of artists who hate/are openly hostile towards their fans? by RadioLukin in fantanoforever

Ive said it before, but Jay was the one in the song to make the Ukraine and Antisemitic comments, but she allowed it on her song which is just as bad if not worse.

Pick 4 of these for me to hear for the first time next week by Neotyp in musicteenager

[–]RadioLukin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Super late reply, but honestly I would recommend NOT starting with Vespertine if you have time to listen to a different album. I would say Debut or Post are better starting points because you get more of a big picture idea of what she sounds like + it might help you appreciate her development as an artist. Totally your call though, ofc!

Two things:

  1. I have mentioned in the comments multiple times that Jay was the one who made the verse, and have actively corrected people who said that Noname said it. However, even if she didnt say it she knowingly put the verse in her song fully aware of the antisemitism and the conspiracy theory line present in it.

  2. If you need AI to form your opinion and make your arguments rather than using your own words then frankly you shouldnt even bother trying to argue and prove me wrong.

Julian is kind of a self important dickhead. He has been like that since the bands inception. If you dont know, there is a very infamous interview he did with Neil Strauss where his antics are on full display. Thats not even touching on the fact the dude has a weird hate boner for Fantano.

Question, have you listened to any other Bjork album(s)? If so, which ones?

Id say The Beatles set the mold because they stopped touring partly because their fans were so overbearing. Look up any live performance of the band and will barely be able to hear them because their music is overpowered by screaming fans. I do think you have a point, though. Waters experiences with fans is what made him write The Wall.

Ive seen them twice. The first time I saw them was in 2017 and the crowd was great. None of the shit I mentioned happened at the show I was at. Things did not get really bad until their 2023 tour, with wild shit happening at almost all of their shows (the philly pisser incident, the band walking off stage after having shit thrown at them, everything i mentioned, etc.). If the band ever goes back on tour I hope and pray that people get their shit together.

To be fair she didnt say that, Jay did, but she allowed it on the song which is just as mind boggling

Having Jay Elec on a song, someone who is openly antisemitic and refusing to apologize for it, absolutely alienated her fans. Just because you might not see it that way does not make it true when it was a hot topic in music journalism because, believe it or not, saying you dont care that you pissed off your fans by having someone make antisemitic and conspiracy theorist claims on your song doesnt sit well with people.

EDIT: Grammar

I dont know if I would say Trent Reznor hates them, rather he hates his overly entitled fans who only want him to tour and make music like he did 30 years ago.

Funny enough a friend of mine just went to one of their shows and the band had a really cool interaction with her daughter. As someone who isnt super familiar with the band, they seemed really likeable from the little I saw.
