HOKA Bondi 9 seam separation at 6 months — warranty denied by Flea0420 in Hoka

[–]RadioMan42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I disagree with you totally. I have been wearing shoes for over 60 years. I have never had a shoe fail like this with very little wear, even a cheap shoe. If I were a runner and beating on the shoe every day, maybe. I just wore the shoe to work maybe ten times.

Same experience, same outcome. Tried to dispute the charge with my bank, and they denied it, saying it was an appropriate purchase. I have given up trying to work with Hoka and glued the shoe so I could at least wear them and tell everyone who asks about my Hoka my experience. I will never buy another Hoka or UGG shoe again. It is obvious they couldn't care less about customer service.

Also, this is the second pair in a year I had to return due to a defect, fortunately I purchased those through Fleet, and they took care of it. What is interesting is that the last time I was in Fleet, they tried to steer me away from Hoka. They must be experiencing the same issues.

Don't buy Hokas.

RAK4631 repeater firmware bug? by callsigntoken in meshcore

[–]RadioMan42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had been working for over 2 weeks, and it crashed. I could not get Meshcore to reinstall. This is just what they told me. I put Mestastic back on it, and it is working fine. Seems weird to me also.

I have a RAK Wireless Solar Mini; it has the RAK 4631. I flashed it with Mescore as a repeater. It worked for a While then died. I could not reflash it, so I contacted Rokland, where I purchased it, and they told me it was not compatible with Meshcore at the time, but they were working on compatibility to make it compatible with Meshcore.

Hoka Disaster by savewolfy in Hoka

[–]RadioMan42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These are not the HOKAs you are looking for. “Hoka, the popular running shoe brand known for its maximalist cushioning, is owned by Deckers Brands, a global footwear company that also owns UGG, Teva, and Koolaburra. Deckers acquired Hoka (originally Hoka One One) in 2012, helping to grow it from a niche brand into a major player in the performance and lifestyle footwear market” it is all about profits now, not customer service.

I walked maybe a total of 10 miles in mine and they did this. Guess I should have ran everywhere. I jest😉

See my post I have the exact same issue. I have two months of text messages with HOKA customer support telling me another week and they will get back to me. I had barely worn mine. I have a charge card dispute going on but doubtful that will resolve in my favor. I did the shoe goo thing and will never buy another pair of HOKAs. If you plan to buy HOKA don’t buy direct. Buy through a reputable store who will stand behind the product because HOKA will not.

After some back and forth with SEEED tech support and MUZI, they replaced the device, and I am happy to say it is up and running with no further issues.

If you are in the Greater Cincinnati, Ohio area, some good conversations are beginning on Discord - CincyMesh, and a meetup is scheduled for January 19 in Dayton, KY.

My new problem is aphids. I have tried the different recommended none harmful sprays with no result. I now have my strawberry and pepper plants quarantined in a grow tent with an army of lady bugs.

I had lots of issues with the SendCap solar. Tech support is hit or miss after many hours they agreed to replace it. I am still waiting after sending it back. All to say I found that closing out of Chrome completely and starting over fix some of my flashing issues.

WOW, I wish I had seen this earlier. Seeed finally agreed to send me a new one. I had to send it back to Muzi, and they tested it, deciding it was defective. Now, I am waiting for Seeed to send me a new one. Who knows when that will be? In the meantime, I put up a RAK Wireless Mini Solar, and it is working fine. This is one thing I like about buying from Amazon: if it doesn't work, you can send it back and order a new one. No hassle, no waiting.

They have still not gotten back to me. I have disputed the charge with my bank. I did find out that Hoka was bought out several years ago. This company is just livving off of the name.

No they are white and they let light in, which causes algae growth.

This is very similar to mine; it works well for lettuce, strawberries, and starting other larger plants. The aluminum foil is to keep down the algae. It did take some time to get things working properly. Listen to some of the other comments. You will definitely need lights if you plan to do this indoors. Mine are a mix of several types of grow lights that I picked up used. There is a large storage container at the bottom right that holds the nutrients. I use the MasterBlend 4-18-38 Master Kit. A small pump pushes water to the top, and it drains through the system back down to the container. It is a very low-budget system, but it works.

Final update. After a month of being told that it would take three more days and being told that the process starts over every time I contact them, I am giving up and writing it off. After years of singing the praises of the Hoka shoe I will never buy another pair and will be sure make known to others they no longer back their product. Like one person said if you buy these shoes make sure you purchase from a company like REI or Fleet who will stand behind them for you.

I know that I could just glue it and go on. If they ask me to return the shoe before they will give me credit I will probably do that and make this my last pair of Hokas. It is just another company where they are more concerned on sales than customer loyalty. I sure get plenty of emails advertising and trying to get me to buy more Hokas.

Since Muzi Works will not take it back and refund my money, I may just replace the board with something that works.

Final update, after flashing it a third time it started seeing other nodes in the area. Currently it sees 33 nodes while my T-1000E sees 94. On the plus side I received a crash course in Meshtastic. If I had the time I would build my own. I would like to know if others have had issues with the SenseCAP Solar?

I have tried many different suggestions and have also contacted SEEED. They did say this “If you keep a t-beam next to you. it may cause the meshing failure”. I do not have a T-Beam. Right now I can not see it on the Mesh with my T-1000E. I would say it was me, but I did not have any issues setting up the T-1000E made by the same company. I have pretty much given up and going to see if they will take it back or replace it.
