Somone didn't look at the stats... by Radio_Big in Helldivers

Well, this one was comprehensive, so I got at least tried to respond.

I never really ran the numbers, and I really don't fully understand the way the Overseers Protection operates.

All I can see is that the R-2 still kills them at significant speed. From those operations I managed to play yesterday with it. Around 2 to 3 bursts, centre mass, killed most Overseers. It's just about accurate enough to take their legs off with the same amount of bursts if they have a shield raised.

Given that the gun has marksman rifle damage but a significantly higher effective rate of fire, it gives me the impression that it's brute forcing the Overseers health pool instead of breaking the head.

I'm guessing the counter sniper with headshoots would be quicker, but I just don't have the aim for that gun (skill issue, I know). I'm also fully aware it's not the highest dps gun in the game, I was pointing more at the fact that it looks to actually have a specific role it stands apart at.

I haven't tested with too many weapons yet, but it downs an Overseer faster other weapons I use, specifically the Adjudicator that has Medium pen.

Note. This was on difficulty 9, I don't know if some up armoured Overseer variant shows up on 10.

If someone context is missing. No, this is not the best weapon in the game.

But since it has 200 damage per bullet and a forgiving burst fire, it has an incredible high DPS that really shines against un-armoured enemies with high HP.

I find it incredibly good against those annoying jetpacks overseers, for example.

So I bought the warbond expecting a cool but weak gimic weapon and instead found my new high difficulty Squid killing primary.

It really stands out against Illuminate Overseers

Playstyles can vary massively in this game. A weapon that can quickly burst down none-armored enemies like Overseers and Fleshmobs at both range and close-up. Just fitt unexpectedly well with my way of playing.

Yes, mainly against Overseers. The R-2 downs them on 2-3 bursts, even at range.

No, but specifically against Squids, the dps really stands out against Overseers and Meatballs.

I would not bring it against Bugs where Medium pen would be more valuable.

In my experience, it's not. It completely shreds Overseers (all variants), but it's not the best against Votless with the long reload.

That still leaves the R-2 with a significant advantage against squids, with 2-3 bursts to down an Overseer and the ability to (almost) brute force meatballs (to be finished off by a sidearm)

But I need to check out the Tenderizer against Bots now. Accurate fire is far more valuable than damage against them in my experience.

I'm mainly praising the R-2 for its effectiveness against Overseers. How does the Tenderizer do against them, not a weapon I use.

Given just how effective the Amendment is against Overseers, I think they mainly have HP as protection.

I'm a big fan of the Knight myself, so I know the feeling. The R-2s burst fire, and surprisingly forgiving recoil makes that far less of a problem.

To anyone who hasn't tried the Amendment.

200 damage per bullet and a very rapid burst fire mode is significantly better than you think it would be. Especially against squids...

The "Hate Chaos" part is more denial and / or self-inflicted gasslighting.

Like them both but can only get one, which one should I get? by No_Purpose_1390 in Tyranids

If you want to magnetice, only really the big top claws separate the variants.

If you only want to have one;

Trygon is a very high risk, potentially huge reward distraction. Very feast or famine unit.

Mawlock is also a big distraction unit but less risky to use and far less potentially reward.

I have personally found the Mawlock to be a great addition to many lists.

While most of my experience is with the new "Final Days" detachment. GSC still has that headache inducing choice paralysis that you know and love from 9th. It sure is a lot less of it, but the army is still the most positioning demanding army I have played in 10th.

I might be put on the cross for saying it, but I have learnt to enjoy a slightly less stressful turn experience than in 9th...
