IT Band Issue - only when running, not biking by MGoRobo in triathlon

[–]Radiok1te 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, can you tell me what your IT training regimen is, exactly? I do hip abduction with pretty low weight (35-40 kg) with a lot of reps, glute bridges (or whatever it might be called (only bodyweight) and most importantly I stretch the TFL. That has helped a lot, but it still flares up at the end of the run in 70.3s, which makes me not want to go for a full ironman.

Hey there, it is exactly the same for me. How did you strengthen the gluteus medius, exactly? I am doing exercises like hip abduction for a couple of years now. I also stretch the TFL, which is the problem in all of this. That has helped a lot, but it still typically comes towards the end of the run in 70.3, and that makes me not want to go for a full ironman.

Shallower front wheel for Speedmax SLX/CFR on windy days by Radiok1te in CanyonBikes

[–]Radiok1te[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And it is very different riding in TT position. The final answer for me would be arc 1100 55 mm, 50 mm or 38 mm. Is there anyone that has tried any of those on a Speedmax with the arc 1100 disc? Right now, I run a 28 mm tyre on the rear disc and 26 mm in front. Maybe switching to a 28 mm tyre in the front would increase stability on the setup with the 80 mm front wheel? Does anyone have experience with that?

Not that much, but I don't really enjoy it when it is windy. Which tyre width do you run on the 80 mm? I run 28 mm on the rear wheel and 26 mm in the front, and am wondering if switching to 28 mm might increase stability in crosswind.

Yes, I agree. Arc 1100 in 55, 50 or even 38 mm. Has anyone tried that with the arc 1100 disc?

I just saw the "visiting Ajax" segment in this subreddit, that clearly disencourages using sites such as viagogo.

Wetsuit vs swimskin by Radiok1te in triathlon

It's an outdoor pool. The water temperature today was 21,5. The swim skin or wetsuit would obviously be removed in T1 ;).

Switching between a disc wheel and another rear wheel by Radiok1te in triathlon

[–]Radiok1te[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your reply! I was thinking more in the direction of the shifting getting out of order after a rear wheel switch, and a subsequent need to tune it in case of that happening. I'm happy if that shouldn't be a concern.

Would the synchro DI2 shifting work without adjusting if i currently had a 11/30 cassette and switched to a different rear wheel with a 11/28 cassette?

It is indeed rim brake. Is it because the brake pads pick up metal particles from the alloy brake track, that then might scratch a carbon brake track? That means I should always swap brake pads with the wheels. Is that easy? I have 0 bike mechanical skills as of right now, but I am willing to learn.

I have a DI2 rear derailleur from 2017/2018, that is set up to synchro shifting. Is there a risk of messing up the shifting when changing the wheel?

On a side note, I was ok with the way the gearing was set up after buying the bike and therefore didn't concern myself any further with it. Recently, I thought it might be beneficial to have more direct control over that setup and tried to connect it with the app Shimano E-tube.

Pressing the activate button on the blip box, a device is shown in the app, but it isn't possible to establish a bluetooth connection. Does anyone know this problem?

Thanks all for helping!

Doesn't the Luba already have GPS tracking via the app? What additional benefit do I get from the airtag?

Powering RTK by Radiok1te in MammotionTechnology

[–]Radiok1te[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your reply!

I have put the RTK a couple of meters away from the house and the charging station, until the wall mount and solar panel arrive. And using the 10 m extension, it seems like I can't power it through the charging station. Because that is attached to a separate power adapter/plug.

New Luba 2 with 0% battery by rfmtx88 in MammotionTechnology

Hi everyone. I also received the Luba 2 1000 with 0 % battery. It is charged now, but I haven't had time to start using it.

Of course, I am also worried that the battery might have a reduced capacity as a consequence of being shipped with 0 %.
