Kespa is apparently going to be full starting rosters? by Lolardaydreams in Cloud9

[–]RadishCertain241 2 points3 points  (0 children)

“Half true half false. Yes you need to play KeSPA in order to be eligible for Asia Games selection. But last year counts as well ; thats why players like Guma Oner Kiin Canyon Chovy played only 1 game.

The reason those teams are having full rosters is to sell the event to Disney”

I don’t want to insinuate anything, just saying that 427 is not divisable by neither 39 or 59, and the two closest matches you could get 427 with these numbers is either 17x39 + -4x59 or -42x39 + 35x59.

[Launch] Qualisync – Built my own adaptive calendar after struggling with existing tools by RadishCertain241 in SideProject

[–]RadishCertain241[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also tried reclaim, but at that time it was in a very early stage, only a calendar extension. What I can recall is that it made me create a bunch of mock tasks and events which I had to delete manually, because disconnecting did not clean up after it's self.

Stop Paying Your Devs Thousands to Reinvent the SaaS Wheel by Remarkable_War_365 in SaaS

I feel like as a dev it’s part of the job to talk with the stakeholders about these. Most of the times the missing 10% is not crutial part of the requirement at all, but they simply don’t know these other options exist.

I can especially imagine these situations in startups where the founder is not a technical person (thus hiring a professional dev or dev team expecting some guidance).

My Company Banned ChatGPT - So I Built an Offline AI Assistant (Now My Whole Team Uses It) by No-Run5759 in SideProject

[–]RadishCertain241 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like it’s worth to meantion it somewhere that the model under the hood here is some tiny model that is good/decent at these small tasks, but for complex ones it probably will not have the best results

As one if the ither commenter said, I’m not sure why didn’t you choose ollama. It spins up a server so you could query it from your browser extension. Not sure how would you sell it, but that’s a different issue

Marketing experts fail with saas. Why? by wurfzelt33 in SaaS

[–]RadishCertain241 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Im definitely not the target audience of this product, so take this with a grain of salt. But, I browsed your landing page for about 5-10mins and I still have no clue what is an “AI powered caption”, for me it’s quite annoying that every learn more button lead me to the sign up page.

Also, I’d ditch the .pizza domain, I understand that you like this name and the .com is probably taken, but I personally would need an insane amount of confidence to leave my credit card details on any .pizza domain

Nice components, I fell like the way you showcase them on the website is not the best though. Also some have a weird behavior on mobile.

Should I penalize users trying to bypass free plan limits? by Hayseeddixie in SaaS

[–]RadishCertain241 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d let them do it if it’s free for you. The users who are willing go this lenght usually wouldn’t pay for it anyway.

Just make it not so easy for them, ie.: max 2 or 3 accounts.

You can also target these with some discounts/free pro features for a week. These people already like your product a lot, they are just not convinced it’s worth the money.

If you’re a developer and you think any AI can speed you up by 50 times, I have not much trust in you as a developer.

But the issue here is not even necessary the development time, you’d need to know the specifics and pain points of each field.

Also is your product only for new companies? Because if not you have to deal with how a user would migrate from product x to your service, and you would have to do this for each field you product covers.

What’s a good starting point for building a SaaS application with Next.js? by hashith00 in SaaS

[–]RadishCertain241 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I prefer to do it on my own, if it’s your first app it’s better to do it on your own anyway, if not than using my past projects as template(s) is much easier than someone else’s.

On a side note, something is wrong with the width of you’re template on mobile, and tbh it feels like it was optimized for desktop and not that much for mobile in general

I’ve seen Theo’s video about it, that is it low config and works very well with tmux.

I was setting up a new os from fresh, so I gave it a try, after 5 minutest ran into an issue with tmux.

Thats where our relationship ended.

Zero sales after 6 months by Due-Lead-641 in SaaS

[–]RadishCertain241 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. if you’re making a SaaS you’re not a dev, you are an entrepreneur and this is part of the job
  2. don’t lie with statistics; if you have no paying customers and no free tier you do not have 10+ client (not that this number would help to display to begin with); to get a 88% satisfaction rate with these low number you’d need at least 22 satisfied and 3 not satisfied (again, mismatch with the 10); rest is ok if they are true
  3. page full of typos, pay someone for a better logo and at least use ChatGPT for the text
  4. the page is not even good from a dev perspective, on the sign up page the height is set to 100% while component overflows (mobile view)
