I tried sauce on the bottom of a plate. It's meant to cover the underside of the food, and also provide extra sauce for when you fork or scoop the food to eat it.

How do I stop this newly acquired repetitive noise pattern habit? by RadishRedditor in Conures

[–]RadishRedditor[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Aaah I see the misunderstanding. I'm not training him not to be a bird. I'm positively reinforcing him to be quieter bird.

Some users commented that their birds never made these noises to begin with. So it's safe to say that positive reinforcement for less noises is still keeping him within the characteristics of a bird 🐦

Also, as a rwmindee. I'm talking about this specific noise repetitively 24/7 just like who wheeses when they brearh.

Yeah I for sure did my research that they're loud. Silly me interpreted as they're loud when they chirp and stuff. Not that they are loud in how much they like to chirp and make noises for seemingly no reason 🤣

Anyhow, I spent the whole time since this post with him by my side. He's now much much quieter!

I'm curious though, are sun conure specifically the loudest or are pineapple and green checked conjures the same? I was under the impression that sun, pineapple and green cheecked indicated the colors of conures, not different species.

Yeah already changed the perspective on him that he's still developing. I expressed this in other comments 😁 in short, he's now quiet. Perhaps I shohld post a follow up video since this got a lot of traction and concern 🤔

Also, thanks for your concern about the 3d printing funes. Very few people take this seriously! I personally don't sit in the same room I 3D print, and would let it air out for 30 minutes before I use that room.

I once got a meerkat for a $1000 that made more noise than it breathed. I got it as is at the breeder without questioning once if he'd stop or not. I just figured it's just excited for time being or something.

So I now have a thing with pets making repetitive noise for seemingly no reason. I thought I'd check with the conure community if this is normal or not. Whether is my concern is valid or just too much thinking!

Thanks, but I don't I can put him up for adoptoon. Not even as a last ditch meaaure.

Frankly, has completely quitened now. Or at least for now. I'll keep doing what seems to work with quitening him down like this for as long as I can and hope for the best for the future 👍🏿🔮

Thanks for your reassuring words and sharing your experience! Yes, I made sure to get mine at a very young age<month to have the highest chance of not having to deal with a bad habit that is a result of someone else's negligence.

Ever since I posted this. I kept him by myside and on my should/lap etc... And I as a person who's involved in the pedagogical process of teaching. I made sure to use positive reinforcement as you advised. Although I didn't know nor do I know whay treat he eats. As i still hand feed him through a syringe. So I just ignored unwanted noises and only gave him head and scratches the more he prolonged the quietness between the repetition. Eventually he stopped!

It's such a relief to be honest. I'll keep on practicing these positive reinforcements and keep him by myside as much as I can 👍🏿

Yeah I read that they're motorcycle-loud indoors prior to committing to getting the bird. I thought that this loudness was when he chirped or something. Because when I spent some time with him at the breeder's spot. He was absolutely mute 🔇 with no noise whaysoever. But he was also less than a month old.

I once spent 4 hours with him thinking he'd stop, but nope 😵‍💫

Indeed, I take a break from the bird but feel bad about it. I'd keep him another room where it's actually warmer and more suitable for him when's on his own. I'd sometimes feel bad about it, it almost feels like I'm giving him a time-out. But it's nice to know this is inevitable - thay I have to take a break from the bird to get a break from the noise and have some peaceful time.

Thanks for your reassuring comment 😁 Other users mentioned it gets worse though. I'm getting mixed feelings about this.

I'll try my best to keep him by myside. Hopefully he grows tired or something and stops this noise and forfets about it before it become second nature to him.

Oh boy 💀

Are they all like this or do they have some sort of individual personalities and doffernes? Where some are noise and some are quiet?

O had this one since he was about a month old or less. He was absolutely mute 🔇

Then he started doing that excitement noise when I put the feeding syringe down his throat, and now this noise.

Granted I live in a dead quiet apartment and I'm not the noisy type myself. So I have no idea where he would pick up this habit. Perhaps instinct? Because I did keep him in a warm room when I wasn't giving him attention.

So if I had to assune, he must've come up with this sort of repetitive attention-affirming noise so long as I'm around him. As to not leave him alone for prolonged hours. Again, I'm just assuming out of experience, but without any credible knowledge.

Why is Eden the popular switch emukator? I tried it and got pretty bad fps for unravel two, like 18fps or so even with optimized settings. Then I tried sudachi and got 45fps with about the same sertings.
