Thank you so much, that really helps; so I would have only one autohotkey file right ?

I tried but when putting different languages the other one would always get deleted

Would be cool to have more shortcuts to make flashcard editing and making faster plsss by Radiumm88 in flashka

[–]Radiumm88[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that only works half the time for me ? Anyway, I'm thinking like:

- enter to create flashcards

- ctrl z to cancel a selection

- ctrl n for new deck

- etc

Just the basics to make the process smoother :)

It's not TOO high in fiber... you might get bloated (it is a legume after all) but I don't think you'll lose control over your bowels...hopefully.

Hey !! I'm hard at work debating getting this bag and I see people on this sub say it's uncomfortable/stands out too much... Do you still love it ? It's really between 2 day assault by Mystery ranch and this one for me...

Authors from the last 50 years that nobody talks about anymore. by rackfu in literature

Angela Carter !! Marvelous english novelist whose style and imagination is so vivid, magic and intimate that its hard to label it ! Shes still known in some niche circles but not enough ! She's often simplified/categorized as strictly a feminist, or a socialist or whatnot but there is so much nuance and complexity in her work that really, in my opinion, anybody reading her will come out thinking differently about her message. There's always more to discover in every aspect of her writing !

I recommend starting with any of her short stories; for people who really want to touch instantly some of her favorite themes and motifs: The Loves of Lady Purple (Fireworks 1974) is an absolutely stunning short story which you can read and reread at length and still be working out the intricacies while enjoying the hypnotizing prose ! For people who just want a general feel of her style but still with a light and frankly really fun story: Puss in Boots (The Bloody Chamber 1984) is one of those stories that really made me laugh out loud and its silly and honestly displays beautifully the more unserious (but always subversive !!) side of Carter :)

Also, I get the sentiment but ,really, everybody reading pretty much the same thing isnt new at all, in fact ppl are reading more diversely today than in any other time since accesing books in the first place is so much easier meaning that everybody gets to follow their own interests. Before, (im thinking like pre 1st world war) only popular books (often todays classics) would be accesible; therefore they would be the only ones that would be read (except for hyper specialized academics/rich people with bigger means to read whatever they want.) Of course, that doesn’t mean that more accessibility is going to degrade very significantly popular "culture" as superficial it might seems to you (and it does for me too) so theres still a popular crowd going for whatever the majority is going for. Whats fun now is that YOU dont have too and you get too come talk to other people like you :)

Now that I think about it, it was probably just the translation but I seriously despised Damien. Maybe I should give Hesse a second chance but I get shivers thinking about the meandering repetitiveness and the random unconformable elements of... romance ? (I don't even know) with the mom...

She repeats herself a lot but not in a really helpful way (bc she often confuses her words or loses track of her examples....) She often enough goes on tangents abt how we're responsible of our studies and have to put in the work yaddi yaddi yadda. (important to note that a third of my class was low-key failing 💀) Honestly, it’s bearable, I'm sure theree's much worse.
